Obviously, they didn't get the F35 license : the shape of the altmode shows deliberate differences compared to the real JSF F35. ( in contrast to Starscream's toy which has the official F22 license )

Engineering on botmode is a matter of taste I guess : his upper body kinf of reminds me of a Macross Valkerie in Gerwalk mode.

The blue & green plastic are horrendous both in tone and in mold accuracy ; a far cry from the nice grey metallic finish from the photoshopped press pictures.

This one's a b-side imo.

I'd say it's a pretty darn close F-35 design, if it was any more accurate they'd probably have a lawsuit.
