Upon request here is the metal content of Alternity Convoy. The metal parts are circled in red. If a part has some green on it then that part is plastic, but underneath it is metal. the wheels and rims are not metal.

The car body is metal, so these picstures just try to show what is metal other then the car body.

    hope these help

hmmm so it seems that like MP screamer only the spine/core is die cast.

Cool I say I like the weight of metal but I hate to risk scratching die cast body parts (looks at BT Dead End) so I say kudos and so long as the paint apps are high quality I dont think it will harm the toy dare I say it might be a good thing

That's a good thing IMO, complex transformation + metal skin = much paint scratching.

Ah I see. Thanks for clarifying.

If his outer body wasn't metal, he wouldn't justify the price tag for me.

weight wise with that much diecast he probably weighs close to some binaltechs, am I right?

    *add*
On a side note the more I look at this guy the more I love it, even though he is small I'll deffinately be getting 1 Red and 1 Black

he is about 100 g lighter then a binaltech smokescreen

    yes he has rubber wheels

he is pretty stable in bot mode, his legs click in to position and he has lots of car parts on the back of his foot/heal to help him stand up

The car body is metal? I now certainly hope that I won't scratch the paint when playing with it

That's a good amount of die-cast metal parts, easily a buy for me.

Thank you for the info! While I enjoy the hefty feel of diecast, that much metal on a small figure may not help the stability of the robot mode? I wonder if the joints are strong enough to hold the weight.

no prob, but this is probably the last time i provide any info here and pics. just videos from now on.

his legs click into position so it holds the weight, his arms are pretty stiff

Yeah I'm with tfarecool and cheetorBWORG the car body IS NOT METAL.

This guy wouldn't want to fall backwards so much if the car body was metal. He falls back so much cuz the majority of the metal is in the under carriage of the car which ends up mostly on his back
