Not to my knowledge (that eventually-corrected mistake others have mentioned notwithstanding). I'm actually rather upset that they didn't go with the red-helmet white headcrest look of the comics (heck, *especially* after giving us that license plate!).

well, I can see why they went with that color scheme, if it were red it would probably match with the red behind his head, as to what hasbro would say, so it retains the same colors but also looks goo in the end without contrasting reds. I still wish it had a red blade with the gun black.

Ratchet sometimes had a white head and red crest in IDW's comics, depending on which colourist was working on the issue or possibly how they felt that day when they coloured that papge.

For example, in Devastation issue 1 and 2, Ratchet had a red head and a grey crest, but issues 3 through 5 give him a white head with a red crest... even though issue 1 through 5 were mostly coloured by the same artist!

IDW isn't great when it comes to colouring consistency.

I was very impressed with the prototype; the final toy by comparison is laughably bad. I understand that it's mistransformed, but the drop in quality and details compared to the prototype is just sad. It looks like a cheap knock-off of the actual figure.
