After I heard this was coming out I tracked down the other IDW stuff and read it in anticipation.

The comics have definitely made me more interested in the movie universe than the actual movie did.

That is weird.
Wreckage was destroyed in the Target Exclusive prequel comic (The one given away at Botcon 2007 and in the Transforming Optimus Prime DVD case). He was detroyed by the human weapons.
