Unfortunately, a lot of people still chose the third option, despite it offering the least return and the most frustration.
Anyway, from what I see, the Henkei Dirge is a good Dirge, or a "perfect" Dirge if some rubbing alcohol and a reprolabel or two are applied. Thrust is a little different, but according to a Japanese source, the fans are in fact separate parts that can be moved to the wings, so the same "perfect" comment could apply here as well. It's not like the Botcon toys were universally accepted either (price and exclusivity aside). Back then some complained about Botcon Dirge being a simple repaint and Thrust's wings being too stubby. How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end |

This is apparently WORSE than if they released nothing at all with all the 'HASBRO I DEMAND 7.77$ SEEKURZ!' after seeing this.
I don't think they look that bad. I am not sure why everything has to look exactly like G1. I really like Dirge's wings. | |

What thread are you reading? They make seekers for all 6 of the characters available and people still are unhappy. And after this is done, it will be the '2007 BOTCON' Screw with the 'TIGER WINGS THRUST' Screw which means unreasonable demand for retail seekers will continue and this issue will still not be laid to rest.
Here they are, buy them or shut up forever. | Seconded! I am definately getting both of them. I could care less if they are not exactly like their G1 counterparts. It's just great that they allowed the whole set of six to be available for the fandom that missed out or turned down the Botcon ones. If you are not happy with the decos on Dirge or Thrust, then simply remove them with the rubbing alcohol. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one. |

There are still several people in the thread wanting seekers at walmart for $7 bucks, and there are still people UN happy with these colors and liking botcon better but then bitch they cant afford the botcon ones and hate these. So really. he is right. | I agree with him too. I turned down the Botcon ones because I didn't want to pay that price. However, I am getting these two to finish off my seekers set even though they are the price they are. I won't miss out twice.
Either buy them or not. Your choice, but quit complaining already!!! The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one. |

Here they are, buy them or shut up forever. | 1. I've seen primarily people saying the prices for the Botcon ones *now* are crazy.
2. Hasbro has stated in an interview that they are indeed looking for a way to get some version of the three Botcon seekers into the Universe line, just not like the Botcon ones, and not immediately.
3. Oh my goodness, opinions that some figures are better than others!?
4. Walmart has the deluxes on sale. People are saying that's what they would cost if they were sold at retail (at Walmart, at least).
Personally, I'd like these, but I'm not buying them. I just won't pay that much for the mold. I'm not upset about it though. I'm just not buying them. I do hope Hasbro eventually releases some version of the Henkei Thrust and Dirge molds in the Universe line though. The colors don't have to match up, I'd just like to see the mold with the wing mods.
Oh, and I doubt I'll be shutting up anytime soon. |

Oh, and I doubt I'll be shutting up anytime soon. | Then it all boils down to..whats the point of an exclusiv then ?
We all know it was a miss when the Botcon seekers came out through Botcon but it has happend and something like this might happen again and you just cant relese them at retail because the fandome cries because then we are back to my early q...wht the point of exclusivs ?
I likem, especially in botmode, I find Thrusts altform to be less good then Botcons. But I dont collect them so I dont care much.

The only price that matters now is the aftermarket price. Botcon price does not matter anymore. So when someone complains about the price, that's what they're talking about. And yeah, unless you have a spare $800-1,000 laying around to spend on a few deluxes and a Voyager, not bloody likely unless you're rich or well off, then I'd say anyone has the right complain about it.
2. Didn't read the Hasbro Q&A did you? Or are you just ignoring it for the sake of arguing? It's not concrete, but they did say what they did.
3. Let's see, some people don't like how the Henkei versions turned out, prefer the Botcon ones, but hate the very high aftermarket price for them. Yeah, I don't see a problem here. Just a matter of personal taste.
4. Haven't been in Wal-Mart in awhile have you? They've been pricing ALL the deluxes, Universe AND Animated, at $7.77. Can't argue with a $7 Acid Storm In an age desperate for a hero, comes a man...
