Why does everyone keep saying that? There's nothing there to indicate that they're fixed in place. There's some gray visible beneath the maroon hinge in robot mode, but that's just the wing molding.

Thrust and Dirge's guns in the cartoon were the same as Starscream's, Skywarp's, and Thundercracker's. Thrust's were the same for the toy as well. Dirge had his own unique arm cannons for the toy, but they were much skinnier than Ramjet's, so the smaller missiles are more accurate in size.
Oh I know... but I wasn't talking about their toon accuracy. I was merely pointing out all the differences with the toys and expressing why trying to mix & match them has been a headache. That's all.

I agree. In fact, I'm pretty sure the wings CAN rotate since the joints to allow it are still clearly visible. The problem with rotating them, though, is that his wings will almost look like ajetpack and the Con symbol be upside down.

It's a shame they didn't remold the wings so that they were leg mounted.

I think fans that don't necessarily have the desire, much less the funds, to pick up a Botcon or Gambo exclusive would be okay with a slight redeco for the Universe line.
This is what I'm hoping for as well. I had these two preordered, but decided I just wasn't willing to spend that much on two more versions of this mold.

Well Thrust.....I am dissapointed about as the wings look like WTF? Dirge I can deal with but I guess it beats paying ripoff after market Botcon prices.

This is apparently WORSE than if they released nothing at all with all the 'HASBRO I DEMAND 7.77$ SEEKURZ!' after seeing this.
What thread are you reading? Or are you living in some parallel universe? Cuz I see no fighting or "Nerdrage" here. And for God's sake, will you PLEASE stop with the $7 seeker thing? no one ever said but you!

Maybe we will get lucky and Hasbro will chuck this into the Special Edition "Black Box" line that Drag Strip and Overkill are a part of. I'd buy.

I'd much rather buy them at retail in Universe2.0 packaging though. Oh but wait, Dirge is being released in Uni2.0 as a Cybertron remold.... wtf is that? I realize the "Exclusive" figures tend to all be repaints, but good lord.

Maybe this question is already been answered; But if I remove the stripes on Dirge's and Thrust's wings, will it also remove or damage the main color and the faction symbols on the wings?

Depends on exactly what the wings are like. Presumably the base color is the plastic, and the stripes and faction symbols are the paint. In that case, it shouldn't be too tough to take the stripes off with alcohol without damaging the wing itself. It would be somewhere between difficult and impossible to take the stripes off without nailing the 'con symbol as well, due to their proximity.

How the Animated toy line REALLY came to an end

Dirge = win. Thrust...not so much. I'll get Dirge for his accurate wings, but stick with my Botcon Thrust.

Thank You Takara.
Let's see... In this thread is:

1. Remarks about unfair Botcon prices: Check
2. People still wanting or expecting Hasbro retail Seekers: Check
3. People getting access to a full set of seekers like they ahve demanded for years and still upset because Botcon Figures are better: Check
4. And the worth of what a seeker should cost being reduced from 9$ to 7.77$: Check

What thread are you reading? They make seekers for all 6 of the characters available and people still are unhappy. And after this is done, it will be the '2007 BOTCON' Screw with the 'TIGER WINGS THRUST' Screw which means unreasonable demand for retail seekers will continue and this issue will still not be laid to rest.

Here they are, buy them or shut up forever.
