I'm actually hoping Hasbro makes these too, and by the looks of them, they should be different enough from the Botcon one's for them to be able to do it (imo at least). Though if I were to get these, or hopefully the eventual Hasbro versions, I would switch out the missles for Ramjet one's. That way the coneheads have something else that matches about them.
Edit: The more I look at these, the more they seem to have Hasbro written all over them. I can see these retools seeing US mass release at some point. Though they might even be store exclusives, and possibly in two-packs, once the Movie line starts. Would be cool to see these two in two-packs with Red Alert and either Ratchet or Wheeljack. Quote:

Dirge looks pretty good.. but honestly, I've been in the camp of "WTF, Why did I buy the 2007 Boxset then?" I'm pretty much in that camp as we've been seeing near duplicate releases between botcon exclusives and takara lately... (Wildrider/SG Hotrod, the other seekers.) I jsut don't want to beat a dead horse.
I like though, how the wings look on Dirge, I really do. I'm not sure it's worth it to me to go and buy and extra version of this. Not for a little bit of extra paint and a wing mod for the estimated american price.
Gentei Wildrider.. you will be mine YET!

shouldn't dirge have new guns?
i mean, ramjet had different ones(the missile part), thrust always had normal seeker guns, but dirge had different ones from everybody.
if not, he should at least come with ramjet's.. just my 2 cents |

I'm holding out hope that Hasbro will release a slight repaint (non-chrome with a few varying apps) of these under the Universe line. I realize that these are Japanese exclusives and they'll never be mass released here in the states, but just like they'll be re-releasing Starscream as a Universe recolor, perhaps Dirge, Thurst, or even Thundercracker will get that type of treatment.
I think fans that don't necessarily have the desire, much less the funds, to pick up a Botcon or Gambo exclusive would be okay with a slight redeco for the Universe line. The Custom Gobot Thread Buy/Sell/Trade Want List Junkion Exchange Feedback |
