| Mini-Con Join Date: Mar 2003 Posts: 49 News Credits: 1  | Sure can. Ramjet's Henkei release was pretty much spot-on to how he was depicted on the show vs the original toy. The original toy had black toes, black lower arms/fists, etc, but the show had white lower arms (black hands), and white toes with a black interior just like the Henkei release. The only real liberties taken were with the lower legs.

However, for the show both Thrust and Dirge follow the toy pattern more closely, with black lower arms and black toes. The Henkei toys don't follow this and instead copy Ramjet's pattern. They just seem to take 1 too many liberties for a Henkei release. It should be noted though that Thrust's pelvis is red and not black on the show, but the original toy had a black pelvis so the Henkei toy having one doesn't bother me as much. Those things are not a huge deal though. Thrust's unpainted landing gear bother me the most. |

I was under the understanding that the Japanese versions were supposed to be more "toon" accurate. These seem more inplace with some of the paint apps that we saw durring the first waive of the American Classics series.
