My only complaint is that the engine panel that appears to be part of Prime head. Having that stuck to the back of his head just takes something away from the figure, imo. It SHOULD, by all means.... it's a cool car, that turns into a nicely-proportioned, nicely-detailed robot, and it's die-cast and to scale with Classics.
But I just find it really boring. Maybe it's because it's yet another Prime, maybe it's the clunky and fragmented vehicle mode, maybe it's just the fact that it looks like so many other Diaclone-inspired carbots.
The narrowing chest piece is the most interesting element, in my opinion. That's something different, and a clever way to handle the wideness of the hood in robot mode. But it's not enough to warrant a purchase.
Now if the line continues for a while, and produces a Tracks, Wheeljack or Jazz figure that could reasonably stand alongside Classics, THEN my ears will perk up again.  | |
