Seriously, humans in TF series/movies/comics are bad enough. Why do we need robots inside of them (or vice-versa.. or ANIMORPHS )? I can't imagine them selling well and really, eBay or customs ought to be the way to go for the fans that do want them.

So the chances of larger leader-type characters getting into Universe is a bad thing?
Yeah, but by time they get around to making Omega supreme animated...what will be the point? is he going to stay around the cartoon for another year and half?

WTF? why would hasbro make a cartoon supported toy when it is no longer relevant...or who is to say the cartoon will be around the end of 2010?

Yeah, I really have to agree with you there. I'm hoping for another wave or two that we don't know about to get squeezed in there though before the movie stuff comes out.

I think the thing that's bugging me most is that I know I won't be spending a whole lot of money on movie toys this round. Mainly, any returning Transformers I don't plan on buying new toys of (with perhaps an exception here and there if the new toy is insanely more awesome then the previous one... but it'd have to be really really really good...). So, that means only new characters for me... which probably means I'll be skipping half the cast of the movie from what I've seen. Oh, and Prime is bought... but that's because of his combo with Jetfire.

Hopefully, Animated has just enough new product combined with the mentioned retail exclusives for Universe that I've got enough to pick and choose from. That was the thing I hated the most about the first movie line's run... too many repaints and not enough diversity among the products available TF wise. Oh well... there is always the Marvel Crossovers at the very least... I've been digging those.

Hasbro really likes Animated. It's going to be sticking around for awhile. Just like Universe.

Never mind, I found the answer myself.
Turns out this is the line's second year.

Which means the Transformers 25th anniversary line could easily extend into 2010.

Nothing really unexpected in their answers...except that Animated will continue during the ROFT promotion. I guess we might start getting the movie toys before the release again. Sucks about Classics being put on hold though. It's my favorite line currently. And It's cool that little human figures be available a long with a bot you purchase but I hope to god we don't see any Pretenders in the movie..or in toy form.
Remember to do it people: Start breathing...or Start dieing.

Don't count on it.

Honestly, glad to see some questions answered. Not sure if I would have picked one or two of those to ask, but maybe questions I care more about will get asked next time.
I know it's crazy asking on this board, but if you've got some spare TF's you wanna sell and don't want to use Ebay, ask me. I collect them. :D
