hasbro: There are currently no plans for a 3.75" scale human figure in any transformers line, but we do have an awesome concept for fall 2009 in support of the movie that i think you will find very cool! Stay tuned

all i can say is what i said before" if action masters or pretenders" get rereleased this will mark the epic end of TF toys in the US yet again..that crap led to the craptacular end of G1 in the late 80's and will do so yet again...Pretenders were neat then but why would we need to ever have those see the light of day again???????

Transformers ended due to several factors not just Actionmasters and Pretenders is was a combo of the line dwinderling as us kids mooved onto the next thing, with the TV show only going as far as season 3 and therefore not able to back these new characters up in animated coolness, also the quality of the product had deteriated by then aswell and finally the market was saturated by transformers by then with no real focus on how the brand should develop .. hence why we got all the gimmicks in one lump ...

And if you guys pop over to DM.net you know that im a long time defender of Pretenders and have been advicating a Pretender concept in Movie 2

Hasbro: Likely not. There are so many other things happening in 2009 with Animated, the 25th Anniversary, and TF:ROTF that there really isn't room to do so. But we keep them on our radar.
Surprise surprise. We knew Alternators were done forever the second Takara announced Alternity. Seriously, can anyone name a single time in history that a line's been genuinely restarted? Universe 2 is the closest so far, though I think they named it after it's real predecessor on purpose.

Two major points:

1. Hasbro will blame licensing for not even reissuing old Alternators. This wouldn't be the first time out, as it's the exact reason given for why later figures like Mirage or Skids weren't repainted.
2. Titanium's sole purpose was to kill demand for die-cast metal by linking it to sub-par toys. They've been pretty successful with that, so why jeapordize everything by pushing Alternity?

They say a variation of this every year. We'll have to depend on 3rd parties as usual.

Hasbro: Universe will be put on hold when the movie toys come out (although we will likely have a few new toys out in Universe as retailer exclusives). But Animated will continue with certain key assortments alongside of the new Movie toys. But we don't think of Universe being done, just on hiatus.
Another surprise on the level of water being found wet.

The shame is that they're starting to turn Universe 2 around with toys like Silverbolt, Hound, Inferno, etc. If Universe 3 is going to reset that, moving further from Classics and closer to Universe again, I don't care if it ever comes back.

Hasbro: Since we did Optimus and Megatron in Voyager when we launched Classics, we didn't want to go back and do new versions at a slightly larger scale so soon after. So we have been focusing on bringing out characters in the higher priced assortments that have great alt modes and have pretty good fan recognition. After we get through the movie product we will likely re-evaluate Universe to see which characters we want to focus on. There are still so many great characters that haven't been done at all in Classics/Universe that we have been wanting to get those out first.
Yeah, I can't wait to see yet another Optimus Prime and Megatron, if only because it should shut up some of Takara's critics who scream every time those two names are put out there.

Hasbro: Not in the near future. In order to do Omega Supreme justice, it would need to be Leader or Supreme Class. And we typically only launch those as new molds in the fall. With the Movie coming out this summer, the higher priced toys will be in the Movie line. But we do love the way he turned out and would love to see him in the line.
Not surprising, given how unbelievably small the Animated line's been and how hard they're going to oversaturate the movie toy market the second time around.

And to everyone angry that 2005 declined to ask about the horrendous quality control we've been suffering with, read the answer Seibertron got to that very question. But if you can't spare the time, here it is: "Quality is super important to us, please hold while a customer support agent investigates. Don't call us, we'll call you."
"The political state of transfandom in and of itself is truly worth noting from a sociological perspective, as it provides about the clearest look anyone is going to get at what it was like in Western Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire or in India prior to the establishment of the British colonial authorities...in other words, electronic feudalism."

I'm sad to hear that we won't be getting an Animated Omega Supreme figure any time soon.

Sounds like the movie is gonna force the 25th line into being pretty underwhelming What we've seen so far is cool but if that's really it that's just so anti-climactic.

Actually they said

However, we have heard some complaints about Animated products
and are currently investigating. If you have specific issues please
contact our consumer affairs department.
They specifically said that if you have problems that you should call them.

If I had money to bet, I'd put it all on Ratchet being one of them.
