Wow, they're actually using Skids again? Considering the alternative meaning of that word and all...

looks like these three will be gettin a good chunk of screen time based on all the pics we've seen of them.

 

Well, guess that answers if the Beat & Trax = Sunstreaker & Sideside or Rack N Ruin...

But perhaps making them Twins/brothers (if the ice cream truck = Beat&Trax) is the Bay-twist, and otherwise the character will be much the same in personality?

Huh. Never would have guessed that the Beat would be Skids. So, I wonder if Prime is going to lecture him about how he's not supposed to get screen time and stuff?  

Also, have to say, vehicle wise it's not a bad match to his original... sure it's not a minivan, but it's got some design similarities.

Skids, eh? He of "only two lines in the entire G1 series" non-fame? Given the vast quantities of memorable G1 Autobots with defined, iconic personalities and massive fan-followings, he seems a bit of an odd choice to say the least, but the movieverse tends to more or less do its own thing with the personalities anyway, so I guess it isn't a big deal.

Heck, on consideration, maybe they chose this character specifically to confound the purists..."OMG! Michael Bay RUINED Skids!!! Skids is supposed to be...uh...wait, what IS Skids supposed to be again?"  

 

Well I guess that answers the question about whether or not the Beat and Trax are the "twins"?? Who are the twins then I wonder? If the Beat is Skids..then I wonder who the Trax is. My guess would be Cliffjumper...but that is just from personal preferance I suppose.

This news doesn't really do anything for me. The Beat isn't my favorite car and Skids isn't one of my favorite characters. I'll just wait and see how the character ends up in the movie.
