Its a shame that such cool a line has had such a hard time of it, but Hasbro must shoulder the blame for the majority, as a retailer we were trying to get the product back in April but the pre-order kept getting bumped back so they could sell the movie toys, by the time it came to start filling orders for retailers hasbro had overstocks and subsequently punted it out to Play and Tru at a massive discount which really pissed off quite a lot of the smaller outlets who have already called it quits on animated beause they cant challenge the big boys on price, Tesco are now catching the tail end of the discounts due to Woolworths and Argos copping the hump because they didnt get the discount offers upfront, as far as the wholesalers are concerned ROTF is where the real money is going to lay and they are gearing up for it already.
It is also worth noting that 25th anniversary prime isnt even on Hasbro UK's radar yet which is shocking as he has to be considered the daddy of TF's, go figure.
We'll try and stock the newer waves if we can get em but wont operate our normal restock policy once they are gone, its just not worth the time |

We don't often get these insights. I'm gonna be bad and order something from you right now. |

No. Probably not. Do you think Animated was designed purely with Ghost Prime in mind? You may be shocked and dismayed to learn that this was not the case!!! I know, I know. Take a moment. Sit down, catch yourself. But it was designed for kids. Children. You know, target market for toys and all that. And bear in mind that the particular style is very popular with kids.
Also remember that the UK isn't the be all and end all. It's massively popular from what we can tell in the USA, which is of course the prime market as it has a population of approx. 300 million as opposed to our glorious island's paltry 61 million. Someone posted viewing figures in another thread which said IIRC that Animated was getting 2.1million/11million viewers for its time slot on a Saturday morning. That's almost 20% market share. Not bad for something shit, eh? Quote:

Shit Animation puts ALOT of people off watching a show | Yep. Cos the last few times was Armada, Energon and Cybertron. And we know how those shows worked out, don't we? |

I mean lets be serious why would i buy crap toys who all have faces that look like they have been raped by gravity! why would i buy that when i can by such things from Takara such as MP Thundercracker/Henkei and many other things.
I just hope Hasbro learn there lesson this time with Animated and start working with Takara when making a Transformers show instead of thinking there smart arses and trying to copy the awful aimation of Star Wars 'The CloneWars' which alsohad shit animation and sold extremely poorly as well because of that fact! Shit Animation puts ALOT of people off watching a show | Shun the non-believer. Shuunnnn. There may be no peace for the wicked, but the righteous can damn well get a piece whenever they feel like it. |

It's not just Hasbro UK who should take the blame. The US headquarters have to share a lot as well. They're influential in the poor performance, with late releases internationally at twice the price. |

It's popular in the US, and as an Australian, I like it (even though stupid Toasted TV cuts some good scenes from it and I have to resort to YouTube), so what's gonna happen if Animated gets cut in UK?
The King of Dragons awakens. Arise, Bahamut Prime.

Clone Wars is flying off the shelf so I dont think they are primarily concerned with TF's over the Xmas period, they are banking on the DVD release of the movie to shift more figs at xmas including overstocks of Wave 1 in revision cases.

Surely it should've made more sense to put it on Cartoon Network since... y'know... they MADE it... very odd. |

NickToons was the highest (only?) bidder. |
