Roberto Orci: No Triple Changers in Transformers 2

Roberto Orci confirms that triple changers will not be coming out to play in Revenge of the Fallen.

Also covered is the possibility of more Megatron / Starscream interaction, Optimus getting a super mode, and so far, none of the guesses that Roberto is aware of are correct for Soundwave's alternate mode.

It would have been interesting to have a triple-changer in the movie, but there's still a chance of getting one in the third movie. More Megatron and Starscream interaction isn't surprising at all, and I would have been surprised if they hadn't at some point disscussed the possibility of Prime combining with something (either his trailer or another Autobot). Does that mean that he will do that in this movie, maybe, maybe not, we'll just have to wait and see. It's sad, most of this thread will more than likely be people overreacting thinking this is a confirmation that Prime will combine with a fellow Autobot and/or his trailer, just like the last thread with people overreacting to the comment of them at one point discussing the possibility of Megs turning into Galvatron.

NO SUPER MODES FOR OPTIMUS! I hated it in Energon and Cybertron and I hate it now. He's Optimus Prime for crying out loud. You don't see Superman putting on Batman's utility belt and driving around in the Batmobile, do you??

Agreed. A trailer would be cool, as either a weapons base, or just something he hooked up to haul stuff around, but no super-merging-robot-force poop.

I am glad we are not getting any triple changers. I dont know how well they would fit in the movie maybe the third one but that is a maybe. I want to know who is all in the movie and there alt modes

I'd prefer if if the trailer became a separate bot by itself.
