And why does he have to be SILVER? God damn. I get sick of all these white/silver/black/grey movie TFs. I want to see some colour. No excuse with a car. If it's tracks, it should be BLUE because BLUE would be a nice colour TF for the movie. A nice deep metallic blue.
ah... well truthfully, i think some of that has do do with the manufacturer. perhaps the agreement with Gm is "NO COLOR". so we get a silver... whoever. as for the "self-important" hollywood guys... you DO know that these designs are approved by hasbro right? so blame hasbro for wanting to change the aesthetic of THEIR franchise. they shoot for "real". you get "real". dunno, just seems that we waited so long for the first movie, finally got it, and were like "um... so why doesnt' optimus prime turn into a flat-nosed semi?" well because it doesn't make sense... oh hell what am i saying? alien robots that turn into earth vehicles doesn't make sense, but i love the hell out of it. so.. anyway i like this guy. think the feet thing could be a little weird, but whatever, right? it's new. it's about change and whoo-hoo! transformers change yet again! G1? enh. i love G1.. i also love new things. I for one hope this guy is a new bot. that would be fun. or tracks... that would be fun. or blurr... well you get it.

I don't care for the wheel feet, but overall a cool-looking character. Can't wait to see more!

Some similarities with the legs is about it. Yeah, they both have blades, but they look entirely different.

It shows how little the designs resemble anything remotely like a normal TF (be it G1, Armada or Energon, the TFs always had at least vagualy humanoid faces, save for BW/BM) that everyone here is so unsure who this is supposed to be...

My bet is on Tracks, it goes to show how little regard Bay and Orci have to the core material that they turned him silver (same way neither Ratchet, Ironhide or Jazz retained their classic colors last time). At any rate, from the other sketch, I quite like the design - more so then the previous movie's. I gotta repaint this blue once the toy comes out...

Not feeling for the swords, though. Tracks is the kind of guy who DOESN'T want to get close and personal with his enemies, they migth scratch his paintjob!

Then again, we might all be wrong and this is Wheelie... 'cause of the wheels for feet.

My sales/trades (lots European exclusives!)

But that's the whole point of the film... is that it's not G1... I don't want to start the argument all over again but I don't understand why Bay should have to use source material of only the one version of the series... Why can't he make up his own continuity that isn't based on anything else except for having a Prime leading the Autobots?

I like G1, I do, but the movie, G1 ain't, it's that simple.

I still love the look of this guy though. Reminds me of the Car commercials for the Citroens. I would expect this guy to move much like how the Citroen-former moves in the ice skating commercial

Can we get back to the draw of everyone has different tastes, rather than some silly war that attempts to pigeonhole people into just one era of Transformers. You can find something good about every era and you can find something bad about every era so there is no perfect flawless incarnation of Tranformers. We are all just a bunch of crazy geeks argueing about robots from outer space so even if you could win the my era is greater than all others you are still a geek talking about robots from outer space.
EXACTLY! Good point.... its a spin-off from G1, its Bay's take on the Transformers franchise.... its a live action mecha-robot movie. Its NOT however G1-forever, kapesh?
