Bwa-hahaha! | *sigh* Another movie, another round of people who cant STAND the idea of anything beyond G1 designs. You know, you ARE allowed to like multiple design styles. No one's going to get upset if you actually like something different. I highly doubt many of the original TF workers actually even care as most of them were just doing it for a paycheck. Quote:

Pretty much every other Japanese mech has an aesthetic that resembles the older Transformers more than this.
They didn't hold that aesthetic because they were toys. They held it because it's what tends to work for giant robot design. | I hate to burst your bubble here, but the VAST majority of Japanese mecha are that way for the simple reason that there's very little innovation in anime. They 'work' because the designers tend to take what's worked in other shows and copy it. The few innovators were usually trying to make a commentary on mecha shows themselves, and these themselves were then imitated if they 'worked'. And the kicker is they're mostly all designed to sell toys anyways, so yes, many of them WERE purposely simple designs so they could sell toys and model kits. While certain 'toys' have gotten more complex over the years, for the most part those are targeted at an older demographic with more change at hand. The vast majority of merchandise is still cheap plastic for the kids. |

It might not be that big of a deal, but I think this dude will look kinda retarded rollin' around all the time. That might just be me though... |

i dont have a problem with changing design, but the iconic characters at least should look a little familiar. |

As much as I LOVE the wheels, I hope he also has some sort of kickstand so he can stand still. It would be silly if he'd constantly try to balance himself, like that Gizmoduck character in Ducktales! |

Think the Batpod in the Dark Knight when its wheels spin around to stabilize the bike.
And it seems to me that's how the wheels will move, if you look closely at the design you can kind of see the rods and things that would allow the wheels to pivot around... Transformer fan trying to defend "Revenge of the Fallen": |
