G1 Voice Actor Jeff MacKay passes away

TVSquad.com is reporting that Jeff MacKay has passed away at the age of 60. Known for roles in "Magnum, P.I" and "JAG", he is perhaps best known to Transformer fans as the voice of the Aerialbot Fireflight in the original 80's cartoon.

No, he played Mac and, after Mac was killed off, con artist Jim Bonig.

This is so weird, I was just watching a couple of season eight Magnum, P.I. episodes last night where MacKay played the Mac character as a sort of ghost/angel following Magnum around. What incredibly strange timing.
