Red Alert and Hotshot were in EARLY versions of the Animated main cast.

Odds are that they had designs on-hand for them that were not too hard to modify.

Hopefully they're in Rodmus' troupe.

Spittor is from Beat Wars. Slapper, the repaint of the same mold, was the RID character. Personally, I'd actually rather have Slapper. Would be nice to have a RID reference in the show, and I'd buy the toy of him almost no matter what.

I'm thinking that we'll see a grouping similar to the main cast we already have:

Rodimus Prime- the leader, like Optimus
Brawn- the muscle, like Bulkhead
Beachcomber- the ninja/outdoorsy-type, like Prowl
Red Alert- the medic, like Ratchet
Hot Shot- the small/young one, like Bumblebee

Would make for a nice comparison, imo.

Spittor=/= any RID Predacon. Transmetal 2 Slapper, a more obscure toy outside of the Wreckers comics was repainted into RID Slapper, but Slapper=/=Spittor.

Spittor was awesome in The Gathering, I hope they do him and all his green spitting, tongueheaded being justice.

I'm convinced B****O** is Blackout. He does kinda look like a big beetle. Good calls on Roddy, Arcee and Cyclonus (never would have guessed that with the Rabbit Ears).

Now, of course, I start wondering what all this has to do with the story.

If I made an educated guess - in fact, I'm fairly convinced - I'd say Roddy, Red Alert, Hot Shot, Beachcomber and Brawn are all part of the same crew which would act as a counter-point to our main crew (Roddy = Optimus, Red = Ratchet, Hot Shot = Bumblebee, Beachcomber = Prowl, Brawn = Bulkie), and they'll do an episode where the two crews try to get along. If we're really lucky, we'll get a spinoff episode or two about just this crew (similar to the way Teen Titans did an episode or two about Titans East).

Spittor (or possibly Slapper) would likely be in that Predacons episode we heard about, along with BA and Wasp. Stryka and Cyclonus they could do anything with, but I'd take a guess at them being Shockwave's lackies on Cybertron. The other ones are up in the air. Don't forget, we also have to deal with Soundwave, the Jet twins, Perceptor, and Swindle (and the Animated team at SDCC pretty much said that Wreck-Gar and the Screamer Clones are returning). Whew. This is going to be a fun season.
