... but interesting how the style that most of the characters are drawn in is still pretty much standard DW/IDW style. Starscream is the only one that really has the "shrapnelled" effect of a movieformer, while all his fellow Decepticons who are based on toy designs look considerably more coherent and conventional.
One thing that really hit me in this illustration, and seems like a missed opportunity... this TOTALLY should have been blocked out as an homage to the classic G1 box back art! You know with Prime's head in the foreground and Starscream at the vanguard of a decepticon swarm emerging from space? That would have been SO sweet! Too bad.
Oh, and is that Thundercracker and Jetfire I see in the lower right corner?
Or just Dirge and Ramjet maybe. Hm.

No, Its Thundercracker and Ramjet If you want to kill me, despise me, hate me, and live in an unsightly way…Run, and cling to life, and then some day, when you have the same eyes as I do, come before me. |

Thundercracker was my first instinct, but once it occurred to me that the white one was probably Ramjet, Dirge seemed like a more obvious pairing.
