Alrighty. I've finally finished the fourth installment of the Henkei Henkei manga.
As per usual, there are a few things:
1. Read right to left - it's Japanese, after all.
2. The translation is the important thing, not the images. This is intended to be a guide for those who are unable to read the manga but still wish to know how the story goes.

Wow, I really did not like this one. Sure, the art is great, but damn is the dialogue really crappy. I really hate when Japanese stories (e.g. Gundam Wing) get into that metaphysical inner-monologue bullcrap of "what is my purpose?" "what is a soldier?" It's really hard to put it into English without sounding utterly ridiculous. I actually took a bit more liberty with my translations than I normally do with this installment simply because it would have come out even more Engrish-y than it did already. For instance, I refuse to use the world "destroyer," and instead opted for "vandal, like you." I also reworded some other things to make them flow a bit more nicely in English. But rest assured, nothing in the story is changed. This is just a more regionalized translation.
God, I hope the next one is better. |

Oh, and yeah, Skyfire's monologue did sound like something out of Gundam Wing...

Interesting take on the helmet gimmnick, but ultimately it just drove the story into a brick wall and called it resolution. Thanks a lot for taking the time to translate it, though. 
One thing I'd like to ask: what do the sideways boxes mean? I don't get what they're there for. (are they something that's already in the manga?)  XBL GT: SPLITTLIP
