Interesting take on the helmet gimmnick, but ultimately it just drove the story into a brick wall and called it resolution. Thanks a lot for taking the time to translate it, though.

(are they something that's already in the manga?) | The sideways boxes are translations of the little summaries that every page has in the corner. Naturally, as Japanese text can be written vertically, it doesn't leave a lot of room for adjustment when you translate it to English (which can't really be written/read vertically with any sort of ease, anyway), hence the sideways boxes.
Glad to see that I'm not the only one getting the "dumb" vibe off of this story. | |

Glad to see that I'm not the only one getting the "dumb" vibe off of this story. | Okay, I started to do a high quality insertion of the English text into the Manga for Issue 1, but the darned vertical boxes did cause problems. I finally figured out a way to do it though... it's just going to require some Flash magic, and more time than I originally expected. But when I do, I was wondering if anyone had high res scans of the pages? Right now, I'll just be using screen shots of the pages that are on their site.
Also, does anyone know if there would be any legal/copyright issues with me posting that online? I wouldn't be charging, and it's already available for free... but I'm not expert in such rules. Especially internationally.
Oh, and thank you Bete, as always you have been a great help to those of us who don't read Japanese!  | |
