I actually really like the look of it. I don't have this mold so he'll be new to me, and he's fairly realistic to fit in with classics. And while not a triple changer, I prefer it to be a helicopter rather than a car, more variiety for the Autobot. And I quite like the colors too  

Ratbat though is pretty lame to me, he'll go in hidding mode in a drawer or something  

 

Feel a little gyped on this one. Springer deserves a new toy, like they did with Classics Tankor/Octane.

I like repaints , just not in the Classics line. Everything should be fresh with it

I'd prefer a new mold for him, but barring that, this one looks good.

I'm just happy they're giving those of us that didn't go to Botcon a Springer to fit in with Classics.

And Ratbat is nice too.

 

I'll be picking this one up if i can even find it. I don't have either mold and love that issue of WW. Both of these two packs are musts for me.

Its in reference to the action in the comic that comes with the toys - Ratbat ties Springer up... underneath the streets.

Cost. Every company repaints things.

Besides, this is a retailer exclusive, and Hasbro would really rather not waste an all-new tooling as a retailer exclsive, if possible.

 

It's not bad, but the more I look at these 2-packs, the less I want them. Even after last years Botcon Springer, and this years 2-pack Springer, I can still imagine Hasbro giving us a new mold triple-changer Springer at some point in the future. Might not be till after the Movie Sequel's toy line is over, but I can still see Hasbro giving us the three Autobot Triple changers in new molds at some point in the next couple of years. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them appear in Animated, so that both sides would then have a triple-changer, and then the other two released under the Universe Classics line like the other two Decepticon triple-changers.

 

Even though I wish he was a tripler changer I still need a G1 like Springer in my collection. They made a new triple changer Astrotrain so why not Springer? Either way I'll pick him up

 

Hmm, a little fan fiction: Springer had a mishap from one of Wheeljack's experiments. Springer split into two beings! One retaining the Helicopter Alt, the other the 'car' Alt. Still, wish the Universe Springer had the Botcon head.

 

Who's saying he won't get one? We have - just counting new molds for Universe 2.0 - characters with toys in more than a single size class (e.g. Hound)

And both "Classics" version of Springer are exclusives (Botcon and Target), giving me more hope that eventually we may get an all new triple-changer mold for the character.

Including seekers?  

I don't know what the chances are of Sandstorm and Broadside getting new triple-changer molds, but I'd love a new Broadside.

Do they retain a single mind or are like Starscream's clones in Animated.

Botcon Springer loves Arcee, Universe Springer is loyal to Rodimus.  

 

I like the mold (although I think the rotors should be bigger) and I was thinking about maybe getting Blades. I just don't really like the color on Blades, don't like a red helicopter. Don't like the original Evac coloration even less.
This green version looks better. Although Springer isn't a good name for it I think since he was a triple changer (although the car and helicopter were very similar). I would like to have this one, unless there will be other repaints as I have no need for Ratbat (who is supposed to transform from bat to casette).

I think they should make a tan/camo one and call it Blaze Master (after all Air Patrol collegue Treadbolt is a classic too).

I find it a bit strange that a figure that isn't out yet is on Ebay. How is that possible? How reliable would such an auction be? Could it be a fraud or knock-off?
