Bluestreak's cartoon model had a black hood and roof.

Yeah, it does, actually. In his backstory, Bluestreak was traumatized when the Decepticons destroyed his home (he was the only survivor), and his way of coping was to talk incessantly.

 

It's more of a "Bluestreak in his moments alone" look.

 

^This, but Smokescreen should have a remolded head & possibly remolded shoulder cannons.

Looks so much better than Prowl. ALL the detail is not lost in the white.

 

I'm just not feeling the love for the black hood and roof. I'd rather it was all silver, like the original toy, or silver and blue, like the Diaclone.

I'll probably get it. I can't resist Classics deluxes.

Bluestreak looks great. I'm not sure if I wouldn't prefer him without the black, though.

 

Bluestreak in the cartoon was a happy, overly talkative fun guy. I would hope they would've remoulded the head with a smirk or something. I don't want a deeply-troubled Bluestreak bringin' my whole shelf down, I'd rather he keep the act up if only to be more in-character. Even though he was still haunted by the ordeal, he was always happy as a way of compensating and even though he was a chatter-box he kept spirits up.

I know his backstory, that's one of the reasons I like him. I just don't want sad TFs. I like Bluestreak as the guy who lightens the situation for all Autobots with his good-natured manner. 

Doesn't change the fact that I'm getting him, though.

Maybe this is less the "Looks like Hound's got glitch mice in his databanks again" from SOS Dinobots Bluestreak and more a "Such senseless violence" Bluestreak from Trans-Europe Express.

 

I love this mold, I can't wait to see this guy on the shelf, then in my collection!!!!!

 

Great mold, one of the worst paint apps ever imo.

 

Yeah as Fit For Natalie mentioned he had the black in the cartoon, and the Japanese reissue (for e-Hobby) was black and silver too. Plus, a car with silver and black is more interesting than just plain silver.

So glad they went with the cartoon color scheme for Bluestreak rather than the overload of silver that the original toy had.

Anyway he is so bought, the more Ark crew the better.

 

the only thing i'm not feeling about the deco is the way the chest design works on this mold leaves the chest all black instead of silver with the black stripe. it's not a big deal, but looks a bit weird IMO... but Bluestreak was always one of my favorites, so i can't wait to get this  

 

Bluestreak has had his switch flipped from 'Irreverent' to 'Maudlin'.  

 

He doesn't have anyone to speak with in the photo.

 

they look good, but the paint jobs............. looks like....... :barf:

 

i really hope they touch up on Prowl's shoddy transformation. i love the way Prowl looks but he just doesn't fit together in car mode.
