I think this pic is new, from the toy show: http://www.hlj.com/hlj_gallery2/v/toy08/IMG_1513.png.html

It's very similar to the Fan-to-Fan one, but bigger/better. Still can't tell if it's a metallic/sparkly blue or not. (Simply being deep blue isn't enough for me, I demand a METALLIC blue Thundercracker)

Great, you said it out loud. Give em some time, it'll happen.

I'm actually getting tired of the mold, MP SS, MP SW, WM SS. I have trouble keeping them on the stands the way I want...just give us Grimlock and/or Soundwave already!!

I really hope that the various gaps and misalignments present in Skywarp have been fixed. If they did fix them, Thundercracker will be going on the To Get list. If not, then I think I'll pass.

So. Other than being blue, does this repaint have anything to even slightly tempt people to buy the same $100 toy for a 4th time?

I'm assuming that he will have different faces again, and a sticker sheet like Skywarp did. Usually I hate stickers on TF's but by adding that tiny bit more Purple on SW it made him look immensely better. Will do the same for TC

It might come with something the other ones don't have. But if you ask me, it still probably won't be enough to warrant the full price tag.

Well, it IS painted blue just like the G1 toy.

Probably a new face, but other than that nothing new I should think.
(Shrugs) I'll cheerfully admit that it's a lot of money for a re-paint. But I collect mainly alts(RIP) and Masterpieces so, rather than spend $100 getting the whole animated line, or the classics 2.0 line, I'll be spending it on Thundercracker.

Yes sir. The fact that it's A) official, B) completes the original group of Seekers as Masterpieces, and C) is one of the only TF lines I have left to hang onto since I'm not on board with Animated, have completely avoided the plethora of Movie repaints & remolds, and consider the new Universe line to currently be slim pickings at best.

While I'm not necessarily happy that these MP Seekers cost as much as they do since I honestly don't think they're worth the price for what you get, I'll still drop the cash on them since I can't stand to have holes in this particular group of characters and will never buy a fan made repaint instead. IMO, no matter how good a custom job is, it'll never look as good as molded plastic. Plus these are some of my favorite TF characters and the only ones I always give a 'no questions asked' pass to when it comes to being straight repaints of one another.

But it *is* a shitty Catch 22. While I want as many Seekers as possible, it's admittedly redundant as hell buying the exact same mold over & over again. That's when I rely on 'plastic crack justification' to kick in. :)
