FYI, Glu's a mobile publisher, not a console developer; they've got a deal with Activision (who currently hold the console rights, for the unaware) to release several TF titles for cellphones. No idea if Acti's planning a G1 title, but if they were, something tells me it'd have a bit more bang for your buck.
(As a mobile game developer, I can tell you that this type of game is a good fit - full-on action games rarely work on phones given the limited interface/storage/download size etc. etc.)
And regarding phone-based games being a waste of time...that's pretty much the point.   | |
