Hasbro releases 1q earnings: 14% jump in profits!

Oh gee GI Joe still ends up the red headed step-child in all this. The toys fly off the shelves as well but the credit all goes to other brands within the company.

Sort of funny as well that credit is not given for Hasbro just making better toys than the other guys. Tranformers, GI Joe, Star Wars, you name it they have constantly been improving the articulation, look, and everything else to make some really good toys and often at a price that doesn't bust the piggy bank.

The diversity doesn't hurt either because while some odd buggers like me don't like the movie look or Star Wars/Transformers I'm all excited about Animated and more Classics so it's not like Hasbro puts all it's eggs in one basket anymore either.

Anyway sounds like good news for even more uber cool toys in the future.

Truth on all points. Just wait for that GI Joe movie to come out for their proper due from corporate.

Guess the retailers were right.

Hmm, I guess properties like Barbie, Fisher-Price, Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Disney products isn't making Mattel as much money as they used too.

Good news for Hasbro and Transformers though, it feels good to know that some things are going the right way in the toy business.

I mean, take a look at TakaraTomy, Bandai, Mattel, Lego, TRU, KB Toys and various others thats either factoring the toys or selling them, and one gets an impression that the toy field arent what it used to be and hasn't been for a few years now. Lots of companies are losing money and/or barely seem to get by. Its really sad, but what can we do. Kids today are interested in many other things than "just" toys, they want PS3's X360's and Wii's too, plus a computer, iPods, cellphones, collectable cards, various sports stuff and so forth. Its getting tougher and tougher to compete.

Yup! And make GI Joes easier to buy at retail!

Yay, more money! Now spend some of that money making trailers for Prime and Magnus!

No time for that, Hasbros board of directors and the toy designers is currently planning a big trip to the Bahamas to endulgde themselves in lazyness, booze, women and big fat joints.

Heck yeah, smirked when I heard this on 1010WINS. And laughed when my bro' said that they were making money off TF repaints.

But uh yeah, yay hooray for Hasbro making money! Now invest the profit into a full scale Classics line and some DTV G1 movies so I can actually buy some transformers.

Hey this is super good news for me. Now my hasbro stock can finally hopefully make money for me. I've been in the red for so long on Hasbro stock. Come on Hasbro have a kick-ass 2nd and 3rd Q so I can cash in.

I think everyone is too quick to forget about the LEAD PAINT fiasco and MATTEL was the hardest hit.

That obviously caused a lot of boycott of their toys and also legal fees to handle lawsuits filed against them by parents.
