I liked the little "this is how it's done" break down. I also like the kind of left field character choice for this spotlight...Wheelie being one of the most hated characters in Transformer history... perhaps this spotlight will redeem him in some peoples eyes?
yeah ok. Somehow I don't think one spotlight's going to redeem the annoying lil glitch, but I'll be reading it anyway so I just hope the book's amusing.
The tell-a-tape book I mentioned in the frontpage post was a great Wheelie story too. It got more to the "feral child" aspect of the character, a character who'd been surviving on his wits and that slingshot for years and years. I'm happy this book seems to be taking that direction with the character.
So Wheelie's story is like "Cast Away"? ^^ I want to see Wilson in this spotlight. XD Looks good, the colors are very well done.
Of course it won't. Wheelie is the TFandom scapegoat for geeks. Sure, he can genuinely be annoying, but there are several fans that want to talk about how awful Wheelie is so they can look all geeky-cool. It's kinda the equivalent of being a bully to a 1st grader. I just hope that some of the haters get over themselves, read the book, and enjoy it (or not enjoy it) for what it's actually worth WITHOUT their biases. Hehe, looks like it! I thought that page was HILARIOUS "Don't worry Wilson, I'll do all the paddling. You just hang on." Wow, thanks for the link! I had never seen that before! Full of win! That book has some great artwork in it. I've ALWAYS loved the TF artwork from "the day" I think this comic is gonna be really cool. And I like Wheelie. Sue me.
to be honest, all i needed to see was Magnus, Springer and Perceptor firing away to sell me on this...
i used to have that book! i can only find the grapple/bombshell/beachcomber one now though- and i cant remember what that ones called off the top of my head lol
Yeah, Earl Norem is one of the best artists to have ever worked on Transformers, in my opinion. http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Earl_Norem There was a great interview with him on Seibertron, but for some reason the link no longer works.
