It was not in the Wal-mart database. The cashier then took it back to her manager and informed me that this could be a recall toy. I thought, no way, and spoke with a higher ranking employee. Later the cashier rung the toy and the price was over $20. I disputed this and waited to show another employee the advertised price ($9.96). I also noticed that this Arcee had a different ISBN (653569327646) than the regular version (653569111122), which was why it did not register. There was really no other difference in the packaging, no sticker indicating the exclusive battle damage. Eventually the employee took the price tag and let me buy it at that price, scanning a generic price tag. Even though this toy was troublesome to buy, I though it was cool to have something even Wal-mart does not usually carry. Has there been other sightings of battle damaged Arcee in North American retailers? | Read "Gears' Comedy Explosion!!!" How awesome is Gears?

Maybe it's the Sam's Club one where the sticker didn't get slapped on and shipped to Wally World by accident. |

It is stories like this that make me hold off on buying one on ebay. I am hoping to see a retail release of the Battle Damaged version.

As for obtaining one of these in North America, If you do not care about having a factory sealed bubble, you might as well buy this from the Sam's Club Exclusive 3-pack. If you are going to open the toy anyways, the packaging does not matter. The instructions should be the same, too. The reason why I bought this toy was not only because it was special, but also because it was individually packaged. As a collector, I do not plan to open the package. The main difference and other battle-damaged Arcees is the lack of exclusive sticker, though I have yet to confirm the ISBN.
