That's a proto Optimus Prime

Yeah, it is a repaint of Machine Wars Optimus Prime that was going to be released as Menasor in Universe. Hence the picture link to the artwork for the unreleased toy above the auction link.

Thankfully that abomination was never fully resurrected. IMO, worst Prime mold ever.

Damn that would have been a cool release. I'm totally an articulation guy when it comes to toys, but there's something about the Machine Wars molds that were released in Universe that I totally dig.
