    Universe Menasor Prototype Auction

I saw this auction and remember the story about it last year.

Here's the artwork from Iacon One: http://www.iaconone.com/datatrax/datatrax_002.php
Here's the link to the auction: [EBAY]180213232268[/EBAY]

It's kind of cool, but a little too pricey for my wallet.

Yeah, it is a repaint of Machine Wars Optimus Prime that was going to be released as Menasor in Universe. Hence the picture link to the artwork for the unreleased toy above the auction link.

Thankfully that abomination was never fully resurrected. IMO, worst Prime mold ever.

No, it's true, that IS the worst Prime mold ever. It is, however, the best Thunderclash mold I've seen yet!

Damn that would have been a cool release. I'm totally an articulation guy when it comes to toys, but there's something about the Machine Wars molds that were released in Universe that I totally dig.

Ditto. I would've loved to have seen this in production.

I like his vehicle mode but I'm not particularly impressed with his bot mode.

Thunderclash does not have a bot mode. Thunderclash is a kickass missile launcher with some little robot thing you attach to it.

That's the way I've always felt about it, anyway.

It is a tragedy that this was never released. It would have made up for the neutering of Machine Wars Prime.

I like the mold but it's best in the MW colors. And it's best kept in the past.

    Hands down my favorite line.

Wish they'd kept the missile launchers, though.

But that color scheme is...well, I like the homage.

I like this mold in any incarnation. My brother used to have Thunderclash, I need to get another just for the sake of having it.

Yeah, terrible Prime, but Thunderclash is kick ass! I like the homage to Menasor/Motormaster. I do wish that ole 'Clash had more articulation in bot mode, but it's still a sweet toy. I'm a sucker for simply transformations.
