Two things strike me about these:

    1. Sure glad I didn't shell out for Botcon Fallback, since Crosshairs looks practically identical to him
    2. Yeah, the Overhaul mold is a bad choice for Warpath, but nevermind that.... I'm just glad to see Hasbro still remembers/has rights to the name Warpath! Woohoo!

Still, I like all these. I haven't missed a movie scout yet, don't plan to with these! :)

Interesting. I might get Crosshairs, but the other two don't interest me enough to get them, though they might make interesting kitbash fodder.

    No kidding...

While I like these repaints, I'm not sure I like them approaching the BotCon design all that much.

At any rate, Warpath is looking good with that paint scheme, even if his toy is crappy.

Damn my loyalties, I love that blue and black Speedia key, it's the toy it comes with that's not doing it for me... horrible mold and I'm not feeling the blue stripes. Why would they get the name Warpath back and not make it the Scattorshot mold?!

I think Warpath looks more like a "Cliffjumper" I agree with NMPT: "Why would they make Warpath a jeep, when Scattorshot hasn't even been repainted yet?"

Scattorshot would have been a better mold choice for Warpath. Or here's one that would work:

Warpath - Bruticus Maximus tank limb
Whirl - Bruticus Maximus copter limb
Skyfire - Silverbolt(?) combiner jet torso
    Grapple - Devastator crane limb
Powerglide - Superion Maximus A-10 limb

There - a little bit of all the combiners recolored to look like G1 characters. They could merge into The last Autobot for all I care; those molds are better choices for recolors imho.

Warpath is actually kinda tempting. The colors are interesting and the layout seems a bit different from the typical vehicle coloration Hasbro does. I don't think I'd even mind the choice of mold, seeing how many times I nearly picked up Brushguard in the days of Cybertron.

Storm Surge yet again - the problem with him is that there's too much left unexplained with him. No other movie Scout has been a Decepticon until now, so it's odd to buck tradition now and only have one alone. Then there's the fact that his base white color remains about the same as it did on Shortround. No real incentive to pick him up.

Crosshairs, I've got no particular beef with you, but you're the fifth redeco of a mold I never cared about! Following Fallback so closely is a bit of a low as well.

The most interesting thing about these is the musical-chairs act going on with the Cyber Planet Keys. The only thing I can guess right now is they're intentionally avoiding the Earth Key. Armorhide didn't use it, Hardtop didn't, Clocker didn't, Storm Surge and Warpath aren't, and every single one of those figures - except Clocker - did come with one at least once when previously released!

Curiously, Warpath is the one of the three I don't see an S7 logo on. I would think he'd make a nice addition to the S7 TF forces. I use my non-movie character movie figures (and my movie character doubles) as a sort of "Expanded Universe" movie set, and all the ones with the S7 logo, they belong to a faction loyal to S7 (having been brought to life on Earth by the Allspark and being among the few machines that did develop a personality rather than just being mindless machines like most others). The Autobot or Decepticon logos on them is more just for their methods and such (ie, the S7 Autobots will stop in a battle to protect civillians, the S7 Decepticons are more likely to just keep on fighting until an enemy is destroyed). So in that little "fanfic" world of mine, it's the Decepticons VS Autobots VS Sector 7 bots. I heart the movie line. Even when it's recycling Unicron Trilogy figures.

I see some French lettering in the package, so does that means they will be released in Canada?

Storm Surge looks good. I'll get him. The others I'll pass on.

Oh, and I echo the others on here when I say that Warpath is NOT a jeep. Tank, Hasbro. He's a tank! Duh. :throw

Change the Superion Torso with Energon Barricade and that's my 'custom' Energon Bruticus. And when I say 'custom' I mean that no real changes have been made...yet...it's just a mix match of bots I think look good as Bruticus.

iirc Hardtop was also a decepticon. I think the biggest reason for this situation is that all the Energon basic Decepticons were either combiner limbs or Terrocons and many Cybertron Basic Decepticons have 'alien-ish' alt modes. Though there still is Lugnutz...and possibly Ransack.

Personally, I still don't have a mold of Strongarm, so if I see this version of him I'll definately pick him up. And I always wanted a Shortround...but could never get past his horrid coloring. This version is definately something I'll hunt down.

I'll more than likely buy them all, though I really don't like the Cybertron Overhaul Molds...

Cool to see 'Warpath' and 'Cross Hairs' being used again. I don't care that Warpath's not a tank, Bumblebee wasn't a VW, Ironhide wasn't a ChoMo Van, etc etc.

A few thoughts on this wave:

First off, I'm glad to see the movie scout repaints continue. The movie/Sector 7 colors are a substantial improvement over each mold's initial release. Although these are a touch brighter than they need to be.

Crosshairs' similarity to Fallback has now taken me out of the market for a Fallback entirely. I'm REAL glad I never bothered getting him, and I love the mold, so this one's a purchase. On the downside, this will lead to the inevitable "If they can release Fallback, where's you-know-who?"

Warpath's deco looks really nice, and I dig the retro '80s stripes. Too bad the mold is one of the worst to come out of Cybertron. Secondly, it is my understanding that they dont make the figure for the name, they make up a figure and the legal dept. assigns a name entirely at random in order to keep the trademark in use. I agree I'd rather see one of the Bruticus limbs or Scattorshot get the name tho.

I do question the practice of releasing the same mold in different colors so close to each other. I'd rather see them tackle some of the other molds like Scattorshot, Ransack, etc.

Finally, I want to see some larger molds get the Sector 7 treatment. The Cybertron Defense trio is begging for darker military colors.

The rumor out now is that the next series of Classics will include a deluxe tank and only one triple changer, we know that's Octane but the tank is another matter, Warpath might be the only suitable option. They might have trademarked the name now with this repaint to ensure they had it by the time Classics 2.0 was released.

It still should have been Scattorshot

First I've heard of this rumor. Cool if it is true, and it does turn out to be Warpath, as another updated minibot would be awesome. Especially when upgraded to the Deluxe size class like Bumblebee, and hopefully Cosmos if the ever release that design.
