He sure doesn't sound happy/content. His work is so creative with such high quality -- sure would make me happy if Hasbro would really invest in him.

Too bad, but hope his other projects do well.

I'm curious, and I'm sure I've seen it before, but where did he hide his name on WW Prime?

Its almost like Don is tired of the politics involving Transformers. I think he feels a little contrived and underappreciated. I hope his other project do very well. I love him as an TF artist and it will be weird to see him do something not involving Transformers. I hope he comes back soon. We'll miss you DON!!

No offense to Don, but i believe I coined the name "nova prime"....yes it was just a flip of the name Prime Nova, but still.....my fan fic was first :(

But i Like Don's NP's body better than mine......which was the american red cybertron hotshot.

nooooo !! the greatest transformers artist ever... is gone from us. dammit, his art was really the only tf art that i currently like nowadays. the current idw artist? ...damn, i have to try my best to like it. maybe don has spoiled me with his great art, and i hold higher standards. whatever the case, this is really sad news......

I don't think he's claiming to have coined the name.

Yay! My question got used too!

And as far as content award for BotCon... We need someone to just start making 3D scans of everything released to beat some site's photo archives...

IDW has a lots of artists who contribute to the Transformers books.
I'm not certain who you mean by "the current idw artist".

    That was a good read.
I hope TFW2005 notifies us any time Don's work is published on any book.

I would really like to see where his future endeavors lay.
I hope he gives us a cover or two on the IDW Transformers from time to time.

    This part bothered me though.
Don, I presume you were talking about a story idea when you said "something worthwhile". I hope you realize that your artwork is the most worthwhile thing about Transformers for a lot of people in a long time.

I remember when War Within first came out. I picked up the first issue on the way to visit my sister in Houston. While we were there, my wife got mad at me because I kept studying each page over and over. She asked me what was so hypnotic about that comic book. I told her that I could not believe what I was reading -it was like you pulled the Transformers right out of my imagination and put them on the page.

Good luck to you on your future works! :thumb

It saddens me to see someone who I've admired as a person and an artist for so long burned out on Transformers. It's like Brett Favre or Cal Ripken Jr. saying that their respective cities and franchises haven't been good to them, and asking for a trade or something.

Best of luck, DON. Your work has been the only aspect of Transformer comics that has been consistently enjoyable for me.

I'd love to find out that the "two deluxes" for Classics 2.0 are Galvatron and Ultra Magnus........and the "two smaller bots" are Ironhide and Ratchet. I'd be like a kid on Christmas morning all over again if this were true and Hasbro produced them.

I've always admired Don's work. He'll be missed, but hopefully he'll return from time to time.

I've also noticed that he seemed a little bummed because of the company politics. It's a shame too, I'm sure many of us artists would love to be discovered by Hasbro. But that's the reality of working for a mega corporation...

    Good luck, Don!!!

Everyone has said what I am going to say already, but I'm going to say it anyway:

Don, your art has always been my favorite of any TF artist ever. You have done an amazing job with original designs and already established designs. Ever since I first saw Macromasters I was blown away and still continue to be amazed by your art.

You have done an amazing job with Transformers and I wish you success with your future works.

I think he means EJ Su. In which case I agree. Compared to Mr Figerorroror's (I can't spell it) art, Mr Su's (see, easy name) art looks fairly plain.
