Yes, us... the adult fanboys.
"Bumblebee" was the most searched for item in online searches? Notice they have a picture of Ultimate Bumblebee, but in the article it just says "Bumblebee"?
Is this really a surprise considering how much trouble we've all been having finding that damn Concept Camaro edition of Bumblebee? How many times do you think fanboys have searched online for one, over and over and over and over again, contributing to these statistics. It's sure not the 6-year-olds making all those searches!
I think the lesson learned here is that Wii lost this battle because it committed the crime of actually making itself available, rather than packing itself in sparse case assortments.
zmog | Actually I doubt that it was the big Bumblebee that was search for the most. I also believe it had more to do with little kids wanting it and parents not being able to find other size Bumblebees in stores.
I friends kid wanted a bunch of the classics because I gave his brother some for last christmas. My friend and his wife then looked all over online and found and bought him Classic Hotrod and a few others, they paid about $40 something each for them. The kid is only 3yrs old and loves transformers. |

The movie was personally acceptable in the end, nothing more. | But it does mean that everyone who kept screaming that the movie would be a complete failure because they didn't use G1 designs can kindly stop shouting from the rooftops now.
PS: This also includes the people who continued to argue (after it became apparent that the movie was a hit) that the movie would have done better if only they had used the G1 designs. Follow me on Twitter! Dark_Convoy on facebook |

zmog | Concept Bumblbee is still hard to find? He's been in every case that the target I work at has gotten for the past 2 weeks. We've gotten about 20 case of deluxes, so that's 20 BBs. Hell I even saw one sit for a whole day before it sold.
Plus, looking at the prices for Ultimate BB on eBay, it's definitely parents searching for that sucker for their kids. It consitently sells out every night we get a batch in. While Ultimate BB may not be what we all wanted out of it, to a kid, it's gotta be a pretty badass toy.
Thanks to Maximo Prime for the avatar!
Thanks to Poho for the sig!

On a side note I have a WII and X-box 360, both are great systems but only the WII is next gen. Definitely more fun to play. |
