I think this is the first confirmed sighting... if not, my apologies... I found the Universe repacked Classics Optimus Prime and Megatron at an Indianapolis Dollar General tonight for $15. No sign of the repacked Cybertron basics.

im just happy to see the universe logo again.

crappy repaints or not, they had a gem here and there that could only come from a recycled repaint line.

Universe 2.0 is gonna be great

Meh. They went back to the newer logo. The Classics logo looked so much better.

My wals-mart has a few of those packs in, but I haven't looked to see if they're the original Classics packaging, or that Universe packaging.

Blah, I still see the originals in classic packaging sitting around gathering dust.

    Fixed. :D
That is a pretty good price, though I suppose some would say that those two toys aren't worth even that much. [/not one of those people]

The Dollar General near me has had these for a few weeks now, they're clogging up space that could be used for the Cybertron re-packs :-(.

The Prime toy has eyes that aren't "mad" enough, he looks sad, and the clear blue plastic to glow up his eyes is just too dark.

That's about what I paid on clearance for the classics vs. set from target.
And I like both figures. You should be paying more not to watch that terrible dvd from the first set. Greatest battles these are not. It's just a boring unicron trilogy explanation of the gimmicks, powerlinking, reformatting, cyber keys, mini cons. Not that I don't like those things, It's just inappropriate bundled with these toys in a line has no super gimmicks (classics).

I'll stop ranting about the dvd now because otherwise its a fine pair of figures and you should certainly get it this way you were on the fence over it the first time.

"Universe" never really left, at least when the Family Dollar General repackagings are included in the line.

    Hahaha!

He looks sad because he is a poor reprint of a RM K/O toy. Also his eyes are that color blue because that reflects how he feels since he has to fight with such a shitty wanna be tommy gun instead of his Ion blaster.

I'll side with a few more of you on the dvd issue.Grimmy is right it blows a$$!No,it was not even worth $15.00 the first time around. They might move for $10.00

I think I may be the only one here who actually wants this set. I still don't have it yet, and I want it. :D

I bought this set a month ago in a local TRU(Classics packaging). It's good to know that the Universe line finally has a Megatron =)

Though I was already used to having Botcon Deathsaurus as my Universe Decepticon leader :p

    Wow, that's a bad start for Universe/Classics 2.0
I hope we get so better toys in that line. But according to Botcon I should not worry :)

I'd buy it for that price. Under the classics line this set was $30 CDN. Now... will I ever see it?

Bah! It's back...just when I thought it was finally gone off the shelves, no longer fooling helpless wal-mart toy deptartment staff into thinking they have plenty of TFs stocked and don't need to put any more on the shelves.
