Fun Publications Update - Breakaway, Iacon Packages, Attendee Exclusives, Hotel Keys

I cant wait for the beer pitcher and mug set!

They've always said they'll do that IF they have any left over.

Thing is, they've never had any left over until this year.

And besides, they're selling these for more than at the 'Con anyways.

Are these up at the club store yet? I checked yesterday and did not see them, and while I too am hoping the pitcher/mug set will be there too, I want to get the Exclusives if possible

A little... and honestly, the extra hotel keys should be destroyed or something... kind of makes it less of a souvenir for those of us who actually paid a lot of money to stay at the hotel but oh well...

Whether or not someone else gets these things shouldn't diminish your own enjoyment of having them in the slightest. They keys were an EXTRA. You paid for the room. You got to stay in the room. You got what you paid for.

As to the exclusive toys, Alpha Trion and Wierdwolf, not only has FP ALWAYS said that they'd make any extra toys available to club members, should any remain (this being the first and so far only time this has ever happened), they're charging MORE for them (although certainly still less than eBay prices). The toys have been made. They exist. What would you want FP to do with them? Destroy them? THAT certainly doesn't make "good business sense."

Indeed, I wouldn't mind if they sold the scads of Flamewars and handful of Unit 2s that have still got to be sitting around. More income and less stuff in storage = good for TFCC = good for members.

Which is why it only bothers me a little, because the business sense of what they do end up doing with the extras figures offsets my disappointment in an 'attendee only' exclusive being up for sale.

Got my Botcon box set on Friday, right before we left to go away on our 1 yr wedding anniversary. Even found the Transformer sleep pants at Kmart that day for the weekend. You would think the A3 figure would be an instant sellout, maybe they made more of these than past figures. I should be getting my A3 from Drew, maybe today.

They did leave a pallet of stock behind by accident. I absolutely guarantee that people turned away when they were told they could buy it and have it shipped to them for free, but not have it right that minute.
