Really? I love my Havoc-Heli, and can control it very well. With a simple bit of added weight on the nose, it flies forward great, and does help with control. I think it was worth every penny of the $30 I spent on it, especially since its nearly indistructible too.

How does the Bladerunner hold up to crashes? And what does it normally retail for? I'm always up for trying a new one.

I'll have to try adding some weight to it. It just feels so...cheap.

The Bladerunner holds up very well, but after a few hard crashes the rotors will probably break and need to be replaced. I've been lucky - mine have broken in a couple places, but they are constructed in a way that makes them easy to repair. A new set of blades can cost anywhere from $10 -$30, depending on where you get them.

I think it sells for around $90. I got very lucky when I bought mine for $30.

There are also a lot of mods you can do to it, like cutting the body shell off for a 10% weight decrease and better motor cooling, and you can also cut the safety ring off the rear rotor for faster forward/back movement.
Now printing affordable parts - Click here to get the upgrades shown in my sig (along with many others)

I also take requests, always looking for new ideas

I got this because it's a Transformers item.

I plan on taking pictures of it for the TFW Gallery. Might actually attempt to do that this weekend. Let you all know.

Whaaa? You don't like the Havoc Heli??! You're the first ever!

Personally, I think its a marvel of engineering.. as mentioned, a little bit of weight on the nose (or better yet, a small air scoop made out of tape on the nose) makes the thing fly around really predictably. The thing flies like nothing else. Everone who has watched me fly mine around has wanted to know how and where to buy one.

The Bladerunner is cool too, particularly because it has that third channel so you can actually stop and hover instead of constantly cruising around. Te drawback is that the motors are overstressed and overheat (and live very short lives)...plus the thing is expensive. The newest version of the Bladerunner is the Radioshack Micromosquito... works exactly the same way but it has a "skeletal" look (and glowing bug "eyes"). I think the lack of a body helps keep the motors cool. $60 also at Radio Schlack.

The Eflite Blade CX2 ($190) is in a totally other league. Blows these things away.

Went by Radio Shack today and saw it. The helicopter itself is black instead of gray, and doesn't look like the Pave-Low, or like any specific model of helicopter I recognize. Probably a fun little RC chopper, but the TF connection is pretty weak IMO.

In the meantime, I picked up those little IR remote cars. After playing with them a bit, I'll probably toss them in the Spychanger collection.

The RC Blackout chopper

(don't consider this a complaint, merely an observation)
It would be even cooler if it transformed - I saw this video on Youtube of a product demonstration over in Japan, and they had this remote-controlled car that transformed into a robot, walked around for a few seconds, then transformed back.
