Soo...............nobody can help me out here? I've done a little research about the Seacons, but I still don't know anything about the new set of them that has been talked about for a long time now.

All I know is that it was supposed to be a Universe release. But I am not %100 certain of that. Sorry, I know others have more info than me!

It's ok. Depending on what they are supposed to be/look like when finally made, I might be interested in them. I've been slowly gaining more interest in combiners and gestalts, lol.

Well, they were supposed to be G1 repaints, I think.

Hasbro kept putting them off, though.

Hmmm....the Universe line would of been the best place for them. If not that the Classics line could of been a nice home for them, lol.

Several years ago, I believe in either 2003 or 2004, Hasbro planned to release a box set as a store exclusive in the Universe line. It was a repaint of the G1 Seacons. My vague recollection is that the primary color scheme was orange and blue. For whatever reason, no retailers wanted them, so they were shelved. For whatever reason, fans attached themselves to this as some kind of pet project (this in spite of reaction to the pictures being mixed at best), and have continued to ask about it every year since. In somewhat unusual fashion, Hasbro continues to claim they're looking for a place to release them even years after they were announced, leading some of the most optimistic among the fanbase to speculate they may have even manufactured them and have them just sitting in a warehouse waiting for the light of day to surface.

Glad to hear the 6" Titaniums may yet come out somehow or another. I dinna care how, I'll buy 'em. Deluxe Insecticons Reborn sounds good. Seacons...meh. I was never big on the color scheme in the first place, ranking a solid third behind the other two.

I actually don't like the idea of Leader Class toys in the box set. Most of the Leaders get the double dip already, to varying degrees of success. I tend to pick what I deem the better of the two precisely because I don't want two of such a large toy. I'd rather it stay just like it is, more toys centered around a Voyager or Ultra.

All I am legitimately interested in is the Sentinel Prime repaint of CDHS? (Is that the correct acronym, I can never get these things straight.)

Like, how would that have worked, I wonder. Surely, not the green/lessgreen/moregreen deco we ended up getting.

Doubtful, but any more information on this strange almost-had?

One of the things they also talked about was that the movie's been a huge recruiting tool for the club, and that they expect the membership to pass the GI Joe Club sometime in the next month or two.

They also said that the website was being worked on (and that they'd been "working on it for two and a half years") but that they'd just been too busy with other stuff. I personally would really, really like to see their site get a facelift. I feel like if we can have fansites that look as good as they do, the Club has no reason not to look really professional.

My thoughts exactly. Just looks at the shear amount of Mini-Con recolors fans outside of Japan would love to get a hand on and have to pay through the roof to get 'em. Then there's G1 Load Hauler and Sunstorm, Galaxy Force Noizemaze Production Type, Red Exellion, BW Shadow Panther, BWN Killerpunch (yeah, it's a partial remold but still), and so on and so forth. And how many TF fans are in Japan when compared to the rest of the world again...?

    Meh.

Good news about the titaniums, tho'. And possibly the Seacons. Why the heck they didn't make Alpha Trion available online instead of (eventuall) Elita-1 I can't comprehend, especially since he's not part of the Classics/Marvel G1 continuity. Seems odd somehow. At least they made Weirdwolf and Huffer. :D  And a reborn deluxe Insecticon set seems real promising to me, but afterwards, make a couple boxsets of all Autobots to balance 'em out some like with a reborn Dinobots set or something.

With regard to the Titaniums, probably the coolest mold is Cosmos. I think it was said that he was originally supposed to be a Classic. Personally, if it would lower production costs, I wouldn't mind these molds produced in all plastic.

As far as a leader sized toy goes, I'd only want this if it would be a really cool looking character. However, my general preference is, the more characters the better. I don't like sacrificing other "character slots," just to get a really large toy. There are some toys that would be just as good if not better it they were smaller.

If the molds on the titaniums were to be more steardy, I wouldn't mine seeing them made as classics. The cosmos looks awesome shame it keeps getting canceled. I am also glad to see the classics like is being continued....awesome news. I am very curious as to the deluxe insecticons thing is...very interesting.

The only problem with the Titaniums is the diecast. If they were all plastic, they would be fine, well, except for both Megatrons, lol, their design is the problem with them. If they were to transfer them over to Classics, I would really hope that they would make Shockwave voyager sized, lol.

Well, Hasbro has somewhat redeemed themselves in my eyes. Still not happy they're cancelling the Titanium line, but bringing back Classics makes up for it! Now, as long as we eventually see those cancelled Titanium figures (Shockwave!) at retail, I will currently be pretty happy with them.

Let's see. Connecticon, a SMALL general nerd convention in Connecticut has had online con registration at least since 2005, and probably before that. It doesn't have anywhere near the time of existence Botcon does, nor the press, yet it can do electronic and Botcon can't?

    Uhhh..

Seacons: Hated the G1 scheme, but would love em in their Beast Wars 2 colorscheme. It was pretty!

Possible Titaniums for the club: As long as they aren't more than 40. Better yet, make em plastics for 20 in plain white boxes since we have been constantly told its the packaging that makes em expensive.

Con Sets with Leaders: Stop with boxes entirely! Go back to the ala carte method with small boxes for each figure and let us pick and choose what we want. 240 bucks or more for a con set is highway robbery, tiny print runs or not! What was so awful about the Mega and Deluxe singles method the Beast Era Botcons had? Geez!

Takara's issues: Don't like small runs? SUURE. They just don't like small runs for us westerners is all. THE HORROR OF MAKING EXTRA CASH FOR VERY LITTLE WORK!
