Well yeah, but.... he looks... DIFFERENT
His head is more bad@$$ and dark looking, more "killer"
I just have this feeling... and I don't want to give away any spoilers (based off that old old leaked script of what happens near the end) but yeah. I just have this hunch |

Anywaaays... 
Jazz looks way better in these and I'm glad he's finally starting to grow on me because originally his design was my least favorite, Ratchet now occupies that space.

Now look at the "dark" images of Jazz's head up close. His helmet and mouth design are different. I didn't notice it at first until I took a close look. Especially those "grill devices" on the sides of his cheek. And those "horns" at the bottom of his face.
Did ILM honestly just render a full new version of Jazz that transforms from the new Pontiac? If this was just for the contest, well DANG. They're doing all sorts of awesome exclusive advertising
But I keep feeling this new form of Jazz will have something to do with the movie too, or I could just be an idiot | |

My guess would be that the lighter renders of Jazz are from an older incarnation of the character model, and the darker renders of Jazz are the more finalized design.  |
