TFsource.com - MP-05 Modded Version Instock and Shipping!

Just in:
Quote:
As promised, the MP-05 modded version is instock and shipping! We put up
some great photos of this piece, and as mentioned the plug is identical to
the HLJ plug, which is extremely minimal and shouldn't detract from the
appeal of the piece at all. Our unmodded are scheduled to arrive sometime
next week, if you preordered an unmodded and now want a modded to receive it
quicker, just email us your info and we can make the switch on any current
preorder. We will begin shipping out tomorrow and will email each customer
as their order is shipped!

MP-05 Masterpiece Megatron - Modded Version - $95.95

Thanks and Best Regards,

So is it EXACTLY the same so far that it just pulls right out without any trouble at all?

No thanks. I'll wait for my untouched Megs next week. Good for those that want it earlier, though.

So it's the exact same plug as HLJ's.

Score! I was going to pick this up from BBTS, but the modification from TFSource is much better, it comes out slightly cheaper as well (going with C9 Box) and I'll likely get it sooner.

Question occurs to me though...how is it possible for them to offer a "Mint Box" option on this version of the figure? Since they're modified, all of the boxes must have been opened and therefore can't be 'Mint', unless I'm missing something here.

Great! I'm glad I ordered from them! Cheaper AND removable plug!

The single most important decision of the entire Transformers movie:Will there, or will there not, be an extra on the DVD featuring the Autobots dancing to Michael Jackson's Thriller? It would be like getting hit by an atomic bomb of awesome, and you know it. Copy this into your signature right now! MISSION FAILED

They say "mint box" but not "mint sealed box".

I'm failing to see how the term "Mint Box" is being bastardized here, just because it's opened? Mint in box (MIB), = opened box, mint condition toy..box condition will vary, mint in sealed box (MISB) = box still factory sealed on all applicable ends - box condition can be anything from pristine to left in your grandma's denture cleaning fluid for 20 years...just so long as the toy is still mint inside and the tape is still keeping the box sealed No where does the term mint box mean the item has to be sealed by definition.

You could also reference our handy dandy link to "What is a mint box" which defines it as: Mint Box Defined: Generally speaking this is a box with no noticeable flaws. This is a very subjective matter, and to some collectors, every box is flawed, but in general the amount of wear to the box, window and damage is very minimal to none.

But yes, in essence you are correct on one point, usually our mint box does mean a factory sealed toy, with a mint structural box... in this case it means opened and resealed, but I would still define the toy as mint, as well as the box. This is really a first for us....
