Didn't see it anywhere else, but I have to say, it's not that bad.

Not bad. Don't like the string on the missle, though.

So...forgive my ignorance but he's selling the test shot. Would that mean he's selling a photo of the toy only or is test shot another term for prototype? To my mind, test shot means test photo.

He says:

image that ,when others see the film you have a Action Figure in hand , so cool!!!
but never actually states THIS toy.

I know, I'm a suspicious bastard.

Test shot is a trade term for a version of a toy shot from a mold as a test. They're used in perfecting a mold, so that joint tolerances can be tweaked and made good, etc.

Not great at all, but certainly not terrible. I won't be picking up it.

I think that's where I'm ending up too staring at it. I can easily pass on this. But I can see it being popular.

A test shot is a pre-production version of the toy, usually intended to test the molds/plastics/colors before it goes into production. The early test shots of a figure can sometimes be of very poor quality (brittle plastic, extremely loose joints) and later test shots are nearly identical to the final release of the toy.

Technically, the term 'prototype' is applicable to any stage of the pre-production process of a figure, but 'test shot' is a little more specific to the final stages of development. They're somewhat of a novelty among a niche of collectors. Some folks have expressed concern about the fact that these are most likely stolen by factory workers, while others argue that since they'd be going in the rubbish bin anyway, there's no harm no foul. Others insist some are "dealer samples" given out to be used in the sales process. Either way, they provide some interesting insight into upcoming toys.

EDIT: Curse you and your efficient response time, SF!
