The image of Barricade with his name contradicts that guy who leaked those movie documents a month or two ,in which he proclaim Brawl was still Barricade's name.

well. we'll see how this looks up. Figures look great though. we've already seen some of the protos, lets not be dismayed by digitally enhance/altered catalogue shots now.

My sentiments exactly. I really like the aesthetic on these and it's nice to finally see a fresh take on the Transformers again after years of stagnation.

No Bonecrusher, Scorponok or Helicopter-whose-name-escapes-me yet, but as far as the ones we're currently seeing...

Megatron - Best figure in the line so far, based on these pictures. The design looks menacing, imposing and just altogether bad-ass. I'm not entirely fond of the arm kibble, but maybe it'll suit a purpose.

Optimus Prime - I hope it's mistransformed, because all those bulky parts hanging off of it look like they'd restrict the articulation a lot (especially the legs). Going to need more pictures to come to a real conclusion on that end, but I think it looks decent enough.

Bumblebee - I may not like the character, but he's finally gotten a decent figure here. The alt mode is gorgeous and I'm really digging the shoulder-mounted missile launchers.

Barricade - My favorite of the Deluxes, so far. I'm a little concerned about how much movement there'll be in the shoulder joints, but I like the design and the colour scheme is great.

Brawl - Excellent vehicle mode and tons of weapons in robot mode, but looks like the same problem as Prime in robot mode.

Jazz - Legs are a little too bulky for my tastes, but otherwise nice.

I agree with whoever said that Prime's the victim of an unfortunate pose and/or photo angle. He didn't look that chunky in the proto pics. He still looks great to me, though. EDIT: I'm just sitting here realizing that we're getting a Leader-sized Prime that's a semi cab only. It's going to be HUGE, and probably fairly close to correct scale with the Deluxe cars. :thumb

I really like Megatron's paint apps. I hope he actually gets somewhere near that many. Those shoulder thingers are... interesting. Is he supposed to be on fire like The Fallen?

Is it me, or do parts of Jazz's robot mode pic (at LEAST the head) look like artwork rather than photos of an actual toy? Maybe it's just really been put through the Photoshop wringer.

These figures blow away every line since G1, with the exception of Alternators and Classics. I was going to buy a couple Masterpiece TFs and a few Cybertron ones I still don't have, but seeing this made me decide not to spend any more money (besides that which is necessary) until the Movie-related stuff is out. Jazz is unbelievably awesome...looks identical to that cardboard cutout in the mock-up from a while back. Prime and Megatron are great with paint. It'll be interesting to see what kind of gimmicks they have.
I can't wait until May/June/July/August! I'll be getting new TFs on a regular basis. These things are unbelievably awesome (well, I'll reserve judgment on the Blaster and Cyber Stompers, the Prime helmet looks kind of cool, though).
As many people have stated, this is going to be the best year for Transformers since the days of G1. :thumb

yeah, I think after a lot of discussion a few people figured that it was an older script and that the date was in dd/mm/yyyy format, and would have been a shooting script with the placeholder names. which is good cos Brawl suits the tank much better :)

Cyber stomper things...meh. THEY'RE ODDITIES!!! *does happy dance* :p

I wonder if that Optimus Prime head in the corner is the voice mask. If so, that would rock! And Jazz, sweet! Man, I'm going to be SOOOO broke before Botcon. :cry

whew. i really can't believe how bad Prime and Megatron are. and those are $40 figures. design considerations aside, they just look BAD. Awkward proportions and unappealing kibble... (the voyager(???) prime prototype was much more appealing, cleaner and sleeker)

the only 'maybe' out of this wave for me is Barricade. I actually kinda like Brawl too, but he looked so gimpy as a deluxe in those testshot pix we got a while back, should have been a Voyager...

U just find myself less than pleased. It's not that the figures look bad, but they look OLD. they look Pre-RID in terms of craftsmanship and ingiuety. it just seems like we've taken a step back.... I mean come on.... when was the last time we had painted on windows?

Bumblebee isn't even transformed correctly, his automorph gimmick with his headlights popping out hasn't been triggered. Overall the photo's aren't that great, so can't say if the toys are cool or not. But I am seeing a lot of color and that's neat.

Can't wait for better pictures :)

The difference between this Prime and the other Prime we saw is that this Prime tries to actually transform. Meaning the windows on the cheast are the same as the ones in Alt mode. No redundant parts. The other one we saw uses redundant parts meaning. So while he looks good in Robot mode, there are unused parts hanging off his back.

I appluad the effort of the leader class Prime. I think I would rather the other one though.

huh? what "years of stagnation"? i mean sure, Classics and Cybertron (and even late Energon) have pretty similer aesthetics, but those are different than Armada, which had a way different Aesthetic than Rid, which was WAAAAAAAAAAAY different from BM which was quite different from BW, which even had different aesthetics within itself from the OGs to TM to TM2.

honestly, these are pretty dang similar to RiD, just with worse Kibble, Heads and Proportions

    Armada, which was post-RID.
And these are WAAAAAAAAAY better than Armada stuff. They've got much better detail, and are less cartoony than those ones. Painted windows aren't all bad, G1Bumblebee had painted windows. At least from these pics it looks like the windows will be painted black instead of that blue color used on the test shots.
Painted windows or not, every Movie figure is going to find its way into my/my brother's collection.

The deluxe class stuff looks pretty good. The leader class stuff is not so good, IMHO.

i'm starting to think the same, which is a shame. megs isn;t too bad, but i'm hoping it's just a bad pic of prime. I would have though they could manage soemthing a bit more movie acurate at the higher price point. especially as it'll be about £50 here.

Maybe they should bring out packs of a movie accurate non-transforming figure with an accurate model vehical. and do them all to scale. that'd make a great display.
