Yes, I have a pretty good idea that anyone who can afford these pieces, including dealers, will want this list. In fact, that's why I asked the question. This way you have an idea if you are missing out because they were overwhelmed by the sheer demand for the list, accidently got skipped over, or the list has yet to be delivered.

    Thanks for the reply. :throw

I know this is a pipe dream but...

Wouldn't it be cool if they sold them at the original retail price? :D

I'm pretty sure not ALL the stuff will be that expensive.I mean there are some US OG1 toys that even MISB aren't much more then $100

    Very beautiful.

I hope there will be extensive photo documentation for posterity before it is all split up.

Remember that these guys were THE premier TF collectors for most of the the early years of the Transfandom. That also means that they probably picked up most of these toys long before the price levels spiked to what we see today.

I expect that they could well bring in the equivalent of a year's salary for most of us if all of them move.... Of course to move all of them at the show, they'll have to price them at a bit less than they might get on Ebay. I'm curious to see what kind of deals they will offer on the less "hot" items as the show winds down...

Junior, please send another e-mail to [email protected], and Jon will hook you up with a list. 40 pages, so have fun!

If anyone would, for one second, think that we would break up the collection without thorough and extensive pictures taken of every piece, that person would be incorrect. There is a large scale project in the works. That's all I can say about it right now.

A word about some of the pricing (which we will not divulge until the show). We are very careful not to overcharge for most items. The truly rare stuff, that comes up once every 5-7 years, might get a bit pricey, but the majority of the stuff you will find to be reasonable. We are not dealers who want to gouge people. There will be $1, $2, and $5 boxes as well.

You see all of the carded stuff, but we also have everything loose, with card. We counted, and it is close to 1300 different items we are bringing, and those are just the action figures. There will also be a fair bit of non-toy stuff as well, which will be very reasonably priced, based on condition.

Please remember, this is only the 1984-1997 stuff. We will still be selling the things after that after the show, on Ebay.

I'll answer any more questions as they arise.

Also, I forgot to have Jon take pictures of the Production Sample Original Trailbreaker in a slightly different box. Insides are sealed, but tape on one side has opened up. Also, there's the Yellow Canopy Ramjet, which I have not seen another of. That's a cool little item. :)

Hope to see you all there,

    Karl

Thanks for the reply, Karl. I have never had the pleasure of meeting you guys, so I am looking forward to stopping by your booth this year. As you suggested, I have sent an e-mail to [email protected].

    Wow!

I can't wait to see it all in person.

I will definitely have to try to snag something from that table. At least I hope I can, I can see that table becoming a very popular one this year.

Good ... no, I mean GREAT ... to hear. I had the joy of seeing your collection (or part of it) back in BC2K and it's a sight to behold. Hopefully I can grab something from it to take home. Perhaps some loose stuff I don't have (it's great you'll be selling loose stuff as well ... I'm not much of a MISB collector) so I can make my own collection more complete. I may also try to buy some carded stuff I already have to keep MOC so I can say that I have a part of "The Hartman's" collection. :)

Are you able to disclose what post-1997 stuff you have?

Whew I'm relieved! I'm glad you guys are archiving some pictures. It would have been a shame to lose it to history.
What I would be interested in would be archiving some of those price stickers & which store sold them. Like someone said I didn't know Payless had Transformers. Although it also may not be the shoe store. I got one of my first Transformers (Bluestreak) at a Coast to Coast Hardware store.
That wall also reminds me of a trip to the local Ace Hardware a long time ago. I think it was around 1986 or '87. It looked as if they found an old stash of Transformers in their stock room. They had everything since 1984 on their shelves. Unfortunately I was handicapped by allowance back then.

I think the Blitzwing with Poster also has a Payless price tag. It looks like they cornered the market on hard to find 1986 package variations. Those two toys were purchased at completey different times, from different people, so it is a crazy coincidence.

WOW! Reminds me of being in Toys "R" Us back in 89... A Truely awsome site to behold!!
Lol imagine a Toy Story scene with all the transformers coming out of their cards/boxes at night when the Hartman's where sleeping..haaha.

I would also love for someone to buy them all and open a museum (hope Hasbro is listning!)

    ...hmm...anyone wana re-mortgage? :D

You guys gona keep any special items or collect a few things here and there?
And also since you are the experts... Was there ever a Transformer in Hamleys (London) bigger than FortMax with a headmaster robot like Snapdragons; I have a vague memory, but was like 5 years old so ukno

It saddens me to see them breaking up that collection. But that wall made me feel 8 years old again.
