I asked this question before, but no one answered me: Is it possible to store the Master Sword on Fort Max's alt modes?

 

Doesn't seem to be.

But holy cow, does Takara Max look impressive. After I get the 3P hip guns, he's going to be near perfect.

Wait, are they advertising the leftover swing-out joint in the right shoulder as a feature?

I'm pretty sure it isn't possible. The completed sword doesn't appear to have any mounting points, and the 5mm pegs on the breakaway sections have a square tab on one side.

 

They should make it the jail he used to have, lol

Would anyone who has or plans to get Hasbro Fort Max be interested in trading their Cerebros for a Takara (also G1 toy accurate) version? (I'm based in the UK btw)

What does Cheetor's blurb say? It looks like his cheetah eyes are articulated. Which I suspected from the color prototype photos, but I don't know if it was confirmed.

The powermaster prime titan master colors are spot on and make it want me more than any of the extra tooling did

 

Anyone else notice the little gun in Fortresses hand in the image?

 

The US release has it. It's usually stored in the clear window compartment and it's black vs gray of the Japanese release.

 

That's actually exactly the way I use that space while in city mode:

 

He's a well articulated update, but the more I look at him, the more I realize how little he actually functions at all. Metroplex was already pretty abstract in city and base modes, but this is definitely worse. Without Cerebros he won't even have a respectable tower. No guns beyond the legs. He just feels very empty.

 

Who is selling the hip guns?

 

Yeah, I am sorta leaning that way as well. Also the way he was made makes it really difficult for third parties to upgrade him. I would love a new central tower that has guns in them. I also think using the lower legs of Metroplex really hampers the figure. There's just not much you can do with them. I get that they wanted to reuse parts, but in this case it would have been better to make new lower legs.

 

This, totally. The lower legs are the worst part. I wish there was more playability for my kid so I can sneak this toy past my wife.  

Wifey tolerates Brave Max bc he has the jails, elevator and moving ramps. But my 2 yr's going to look at TR FM and be like WTF?!

 

To each his own but my Max's spend about 1% of their life in city mode.
