We've had a bit of a flood of Rescue Bots toys in Australia recently, with the Firehouse set, mini-playsets and Rescue Rigs about a month ago, and here are a few more new ones from the last week. (I'm a fan of this, now 5 year old toyline, so I keep track of it and collect the toys.) The Rescue Bots Racing Trailer, with a new Optimus & redeco Blurr. . Rescue Bots (pull back) racers - Sideswipe and Bumblebee. Plus, a "reissue" of the Rescue Bots Optimus with trailer.... at a retailer who only just took 2 years to finally sell their stock of the first release of this toy. And even more amusing is the price here - this reissue of the trailer version is AU$39, while the non-trailer version (that came out a couple months ago with High Tide as a "Megabot", and on sale next to it from the photos below) is also AU$39. So you basically get the trailer for free. It's missing the blue "Energize" bolts on the front of the chest/cab, but everything else looks exactly the same, so I don't think this would count as a redeco (which is why I was calling it a reissue). On the back of the box this version may not come with the sticker sheet either, which makes it look very plain in Truck mode. .
I hope these, particularly that prime with blurr make it to the US. I wanted to get my son Blurr, but can't afford his price on ebay/amazon ($150+).
These were sighted in the US but never reported. Here is a link to the thread I started, but I later discovered that someone else found it even before me. Never posted as news and nobody got news credit. My sighting (8-3-16): http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...e-racing-trailer-blurr-set-out-us-retail.html PA Kid's sighting (7-21-16) http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/1077775-new-rescue-bot-toys.html
The new one with the Trailer is blue, while the one sold separately at the beginning of the year is purple. I just bought one last week from Amazon (they've had it for a little while now), so I should get it next week and I can take a photo of both next to each other.
I imagined that they would be in America by now, so I was only noting that these were just new to Australia, not the first in the world... as well as highlighting the reissue Optimus, which I hadn't seen noted anywhere yet.
Right on man. My post was more for the mods who might be reading in here, because the news post said "We’d expect this one to also make it to US retail in due course (if it is not already there)." It has, over a month ago, it just hasn't been noted yet. * nudge nudge *
