Good time to get them and Skywarp if people haven't.

Interesting! Hopefully they have another sale before the end of the year. $70 plus shipping is a bit more than I want to pay for Ruckus.

So I can't buy anything if I've never been a member?

And there they are. I'd highly recommend to people who did not subscribe to pick them up. They are well done and really help fill out the Decepticon ranks with some very nicely painted D list Cons.

Cool. I've been ogling that Needlenose and Spinister for a while, but $70 is a bit too steep.

It is a lot, but worth it if you didn't subscribe and regretted it, afraid it will sell out fast (I can't imagine they have that many available).

Considering the 5 members just sold for $405 on ebay, this is the perfect time to order...

For sure. With shipping a set would come out to about $375.

And people complain about retail prices...

Of course, higher retail prices (or, perhaps more properly, the inflation that causes them) are part of the reason why these exclusives cost so much nowadays. Viewed as a multiplier of the retail value of toys using these molds, these toys are in keeping with exclusive prices of the past.

Nothing new under the sun, here.

Those who purchased the subscription did pay less per figure, plus the final figure does not appear to be part of this sale.

Quite right on both counts. In fact, if you buy all five "Thunder Mayhem" figures now, you're paying more than $50 more than the entire TFSS 4.0 subscription cost.

Still worth it, this is an awesome set. I can't bring myself to uncombine them. It really brings Thunderwing the presence he's always called for in his fictional appearances.

    Needlenose tempting me, agh!

edit: Man, I didn't realize you had to be a member or past member to even order. How bogus. I was ready to buy him, too. If anyone can and wants to grab me one, hit me up!

As much as I would like those figures there is no way I am paying those prices even if I would consider giving them any money.

It's awesome that they had extras to put these up. I've been super happy with these five.

    Indeed....

2 popular Deluxe class IDW figures (Spinister and Needlenose) for $140 before shipping???

Between TF Comics, home video (upcoming animated movie BR and might by TF Victory set on Amazon), and TF figures I'll likely spend over a thousand dollars on this hobby by years end (If I haven't already) but it won't be from making goofy deals like this from companies like that! So tell'em them to KEEP IT!

Chromedome was released under 2 years ago by Funpub and yet we're getting a Generations IDW (TR) version in the US at retail within the next month or so which looks much better IMO. And the time actually flew by.... So here's to hopes that Hasbro will get a clue and release new versions of those Con's at retail.

    As for Funpub, Good Riddance!

The prices are pretty absurd, but I would have considered saving up for the Needlenose and Spinister duo if I were actually able to get them. Oh well. Hopefully these two get toys in the main line or something.

blah, blah, blah, you hate exclusives... we get it... as has been stated a million and one times, when FunPub creates a figure, it's because Hasbro has no intentions of doing so... obviously, things change over time, which is why we got Seekers well after 07, and why we're getting a headmaster Chromedome now. Why do you keep coming into these threads just to shit all over the exclusives? it's obnoxious.

I feel the opposite, they're staying uncombined for the most part, except when I want Grand Scourge to be combined... I think I'm gonna go throw Bludgeon in my sales thread so a bit, or eBay him. I just don't like him much and would rather sell him and get something else.

true, but I'd argue these are far more comparable to a Takara release, if not better because they have FAR more paint apps than the typical Takara release. I'm fine with the price paid, solely because if these came out at retail, they wouldn't look half as nice...
