Please forgive me if this is old news, but I can't find it anywhere else.

Just spotted Hasbro's Masterpiece Bumbleee in the UK. Flappy crotch art and all. A not at all inconsiderable £79.99 at Toys R Us in Enfield, North London. They had a couple on the shelf.

On the plus side, more Tf over here is good. On the down side, that price.

I'd love Hasbro to bring all of Takara's Masterpieces to the UK. But at those prices they'll sell sod all and be judged a failure, presumably. Unless the strategy is to price high and sell as many as they can to collectors before then discounting to a price that might sell to normal humans? Unlikely but you never know.

Wow. TRU and Hasbro are crazy. Don't they know that Takara sells these things months earlier and for less money?

Seriously, I probably paid that in total for this and the G2 version too. Hasbro and tru have lost it.

    How much!?

Conclusive proof (if any were truly needed) that both HasUK and TRU haven't got a single, solitary clue.

To quote the great Immortals: "Get stuffed."

Funny how they're aware people will pay a premium for small toys.

But refuse to acknowledge that most of the intended buyers are capable of researching the best price.

They have plenty of form for this idiocy. The Grimlock reissue started out at £100 and took a big hit, Platinum Trypy and the Coneheads were also stupidly priced and had to come down (grudgingly in Trypy's case - has/did it ever go sub-£100?) and this is more of the same shit.

They obviously look at the product listing but not at the actual product size.

I think they have a strategy to sell One at this full price to the only rabid-Completist in the UK who has to have one of every packaging variation NOAW and has no Wifi connection. Then the five or six they also imported sit around waiting for the price drop.

When you think about it, the problems the pound sterling have been having, the cost of getting Bee into the country as he's not made here, that will play a part. Then couple it with ToysRUs being robbing swine... It's ok tho, because they probably only have two or three in the country! I looked for the Computron set online but since they won't let you order it and it's just 'sold in store's I used their search function.. Not a single store had it. Not one. And they wonder why we import?

I assume that just means they're already listing it on their website but haven't received any stock yet.
