why do I have a feeling Megatron will be retooled/redeco'd as Overlord

 

He'll be redecoed as Blitzwing actually so your "feeling" is off.

 

That megs is sweet, but I'm totally waiting for the Blitzwing remold.

 

Megatron looks good...but...I so want to see that Blitzwing redeco...

Because Hasbro only ever repaints something once.

But what's weird is they showed the teaser of a jet and a tank at Botcon and everybody was like "OVERLORD!" and now we find out it's likely just this Megatron?

Also, I still saw Sawback is going to see some greater purpose later when we find out about Predaking.

 

Can't wait to slap am Autobot symbol onto him!

 

Except that the jet from that teaser looked nothing like this. It was a Blackbird style jet, just like Overlord.

Also, Sawback has nothing to do with Predaking. He's an homage to the Japanese Headmaster Warrior Lione.

They put some rather conspicuous emphasis on the words "over" and "lord" while that slide was up. Also the shapes are off on the vehicles.

Megatron's head is named Doomshot, though I think a more appropriate way of spelling it would be
DOOOOOOMshot.


I'm freaking out about this jet mode. I didn't even really care about his supposed third mode, but it's soooo well shaped. It doesn't look like DOOOOOOMshot can ride in the cockpit unfortunately.

And last, but not least, Megatron's awesome Batman turbine on the front of his tank mode.


Oh, and Brainstorm's blue is better, but the grey is still to light. Still undecided on him.

 

They should have made Doomshot's torso green. That would have been the best.

 

I know who Sawback is supposed to be, but I'm telling you who I think he's going to wind up being a hint at.

 

You know who else is a lion? Alpha Trion!

And you know what else? Thrilling 30 Rhinox is a rhino just like Headstrong.

There is a pattern there if you just look close enough.

 

True, it wouldn't be hard, since he's already a targetmaster, to associate an orange and red animalformer with an upcoming PRedaking release.

 

The purists could pretend it was a G2 homage, but we would know the truth. That could make for a neat custom, since he already has a visor.

 

Doomshot is in the cockpit in the pic, probably loaded from the bottom....or it's a faux Doomshot, but would Hasbro really go that far?
