    SDCC 2016 Machinima Combiner Wars Panel - Transformer World 2005 - TFW2005.COM

    11:10 PST - The show will be focus around Windblade and its from her point of view
    They geared the show for adults but it's for everyone
    Wanted a deep and sophisticated show
    They wanted to respect the legacy but also introduce new characters.
    Wanted something for all the fans, someone that love G1, someone that knows the movies, or a kid that's just getting into it.
    11:15 PST - Playing trailer (same from this morning)
    New character, Maxima
    Maxima is Windblade’s right hand bot
    She’s a combiner hunter
    11:20 PST - Gets some of the voice actors from YouTube talent
    Entire show is produced in Japan
    11:25 PST - They like Windblade because of anime tie ins
    11:30 PST - Clip of Episode One
    Windblade and Maxima Fighting Menasor
    No toys, panel members are talking about what stood out to them
    John liked seeing the toys come to life
    11:35 PST - All of them are saying how much they like seeing everything come
    together

    Q&A:

    Q: Any guardians on cybertron? Omega? Why are their females?
    A: Wait and see. No real explanation, maybe a descendent of Solus.

    Q: Blu Ray release?
    A: Not sure right now. It will be free on go90. U.K. Will have Vimeo and YouTube.

    Q: How was performance of deluxe groove? Will we get a shuttle blast off?
    A: Make sure to get every version. They knew groove would be a slam dunk, not sure how it's really doing. Too early to say about blast off.

    Q: To Abbey (voice of Windblade), any inspiration for Windblade?
    A: Kill Bill

    Q: Will combiner wars show familiar character rising and falling like the G1 movie?
    A: Trying to retain emotional context. Things will change over the show. They didn't want to make it too too dark. Trying to keep the g1 tone. Episode 4 has a really big Easter egg.

    Q: Why are combiners more intelligent? Everyone's personality together or a new one!
    A: Wanted to give them a purpose and meaning.

    Q: Scramble city function?
    A: Wait until episode 8.

    Q: SS voice actor to Megatron: How does it feel to fail?
    A: Retirement is great, time to hang out and play Pokemon Go.

    From twitter, it looks like the panel is happening, but no one is posting about it.

    none of the other news sites have it up yet either.

    Will more be put out on display over the next few days? I don't know. But I doubt it.

    Think the breakfast stuff is all we're getting.

    I feel bad for the people working on this, because their hearts seem to be in the right place. But their talking about this dinky little show like it was some enormous undertaking that will effect the franchise for years to come.

    Maxima already sounds boring, it was bad enough that she's essentially just a maroon / pink / purple version of Windblade with an altered head, so she's essentially Chromia from IDW?

    Bumblebee, Gnaw and the two Titanmasters shown hadn't been seen at all before today, neither did we know that Fangry was coming as a Titanmaster.

    Neither had Megatron's other two modes been seen before.

    Sixshot we'd not seen a toy photo of before.

    Plenty of new things.

    well I found that rather disappointing. They added an odd frame rate effect on CGI for some odd reason(hoping its just the video upload and not the final product). The acting seemed flat and every character's face just looked dead with little movement. the Highmoon and Platinum game's cut scene's had more character and dynamic flair then whats here.

    All in all I can see why they have left it this late to show the final product. I'd want to bury

    According to you three things is equal to voyager megatron, voyager optimus prime, Legends class gnaw, Legends class bee, 3 titanmasters, and deluxe triggerhappy, and Leader class sixshot dude thats not 3 things also THIS IS FROM THE BREAKFAST PREVIEW XD its likely theres more...

    I love what I am seeing so far BUT there is things of course I would have preferred or have done differently of course.

    Such as Maxima, I mean, why make a new character that could be filled with an already existing character that has gotten little to no screentime and fits the role ?

    The only acceptable reason for this ( for me that is ) is if they plan on killing Maxima. Then I am all to happy to see it done LOL Because I like Chromia too much
