We have another gallery showcasing the Titans Return line for you! Back for revenge after his defeats in Megatron Origin and War for Cybertron, this is Sentinel Prime!

The first and most obvious thing on Sentinel is his color. He's very orange, which gives him a striking look but hides the masses of fine details on his body. The robot itself has nice poseability, and as a Titans Return Voyager, he's a triple changer!

The two alternate modes - shuttle and train - manage to look distinct. Or at least as much as a triple changer ever does (the shuttle wings stick out on the armored train). The modes have a satisfying size to them too, especially the extremely long train mode.

Overall, Sentinel is a toy that is fun to transform and fiddle with. He's not perfect - those colors are very bright and the train won't be for everyone. That being said, I've heard people at TFcon warming to this one. Check out our gallery and see what you think.

Am I the only one who wants this instead of Astrotrain? It just seems to work better as a new character, and with a bit of gold and silver for details I think he'll be great.

Transforms from a Robot to a Space Shuttle to a Train where a Space Shuttle crashed into the roof in a horrible accident and back!

Has anyone heard about a possible Takara version? I couldn't find anything. Just curious if their colors might be toned down a bit.

 

I love this toy. Initially bought just because Galvatron wasn't in stock but having played with this and seen Galvatron's head I'm actually much happier with this. He's awesome!

 

As far as the mold goes, it's probably one of the best triple changers in a long time. But I will wait for the Astrotrain version.

 

Picking him up also and keeping him the only owner of the mold; I've already got an Astrotrain in 3P Transportation Captain. No interest in TR Astrotrain, regardless whether Takara gets his colors right.

 

Which one? I've got Evila Star.

And yeah, the mould just doesn't feel 'Astrotrainy' to me.

 

One of the few figures in the Titans Return line that isn't holding a lot of appeal for me right now.

Not sure if it's just the colors or that I'm just more used to the character from Transformers Animated so this version just seems a little weird. Maybe I'll feel different once I see it in person or when someone shows off pictures of the figure with a different head from the Titans line, but right now it doesn't feel like a must buy.

Nope, this guy's pretty good. Besides, I've still got classics Astrotrain and that's good enough for me  

 

His train and feet don't do it for me, I like the idea of doing triple changers again and I want to like it, but I think I'll pass on the mold. But keep them coming, I'm bound to like some form of a triple changer.

 

Of all of the TR releases so far, I actually think Sentinel Prime might be my favorite. Easily the best Voyager of the two so far. I only bought him on a whim when I was picking up Galvatron, but all three modes are a lot of fun to play with and the colors make him really unique. The three modes also feel like real modes, unlike Galvatron's cannon mode and weird looking legs out space ship. Plus his head just being a Titan Master without the stupid mask gimmick means he can turn his head back and forth (again unlike Galvatron, but at least Galvatron has the better color scheme? It's something.)

 

No interest in Sentinel, but the mold looks alright.
I'll wait for Astrotrain.
