Not all that surprising, really. I would have done the lump sum if I had the money for TFSS 5.0 just for this very reason.
Looking forward to it. I kind of wish there'd be extra 4.0 stuff at the club store but oh well. I at least want Impactor for Wreckage.
Purple with some lime green paint flecked on. *EDIT* I think orange is the color of his corrosive. So probably that instead of green.
I wonder how late in fall and how close the payments will be. Even a rough idea would be nice to help plan.
I'm sure they'll send another email later on with a more exact time. Though if I had to guess I'd say late October/mid November sounds likely.
That's assuming they get the toys from the factory in time and don't have any hiccups with that process.
Yeah, that worries me because that means 2 big payments right around the Christmas gift buying time of year... Gonna have to super budget for this.
I'm hoping PE comes out with a separate set, but I kind of think the G2 Menasor set will match the torso pretty close - the legs will look awful, though I would plan for the worst (say, payments due on Nov. 20 and Dec. 10). I mean, obviously, if they get the figures in earlier, there will be more time between them and they'll come earlier, but I think that's probably the worst case scenario that doesn't include factory delays forcing the figures into 2017. From your lips to Primus's mouth. Or whatever. You'd think Hasbro would make sure the figures get delivered on time so that they didn't have to deal with delaying the end of FP's license to allow them to deliver (or whatever the terms of the deal are in the event the factory fucks up)
Yeah, I guess I'll have to go with the following: Wreckage Torso - G2 Menasor - PC-04G Wreckage feet and hands - G1 Mensaor - PC-02 Thunder Mayhem hands and feet - G2 Menasor - PC-04G damn. That's a lot of money going into accessories. edit: man. at this rate, I'll never be able to afford Grand Galvatron.
If there is a significant delay from the factory and the toys don't get to America before December 31st, Fun Publications can't get them. They have said on several occasions that they are bound by their contract to not do anything after that date with Transformers, so if the toys arrive in the last week or two of 2016, there will be a big rush to get payments from installment people and ship all toys out by December 31st. If they arrive in America after December 31st, I would imagine that Hasbro would not send them on to FunPublications without a temporary contract signed up, or Hasbro would be shipping out the toys themselves like in 2004. (with the installment people left in limbo for five toys if Hasbro can't charge on behalf of FunPub, and if they could charge them, there will be people lost in the transition like in 2004) Now that would be the worst case scenario.
It just depends on the contract FunPub has. It's not uncommon to have clauses in the contract that deal with extraordinary circumstances or failure to deliver on time. For example, the contract could state (as an example) the license terminates on the later of Dec. 31 or 4 weeks after delivery of the figures to FunPub (which would suck for people on the installment plan). I think this is all kind of irrelevant - I imagine Hasbro will exert what pressure it can at the factory to get everything out and avoid fucking around with the deadline
So glad I paid up front for these guys. With the GB Pound tanking at the moment due to sodding Brexit, I don't want to think what the individual instalments would have cost me!!!
They shouldn't charge us that fee then for the folks who did the installment plans kind of defeats the purpose if they're going to charge us so soon within weeks at a time vs the usual monthly one.
